Academic Program Oversight and Policy Development * Providing leadership for academic program development, review, registration, and approval processes. * Serving as the campus Academic Program Liaison to SUNY System Administration and, by extension, the New York State Education Department (SED). * Overseeing the campus academic program review process, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, accreditation expectations, and assessment practices. * Coordinating updates to the undergraduate and graduate academic catalogs and ensuring the accurate implementation of academic policies. * Administering and maintaining the university's curriculum management platform (Curriculog). * Ensuring the regular review, interpretation, and implementation of academic policies in alignment with institutional priorities and regulatory requirements. Accreditation * Serving as the Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). * Coordinating institutional accreditation activities, including reporting, compliance monitoring, and self-study efforts. * Collaborating with Institutional Research, academic units, and campus leadership to support assessment and documentation related to accreditation standards. Faculty Development and Support * Providing leadership for the faculty Renewal, Tenure, and Promotion (RTP) process, including guidance, training, and support for faculty and evaluators. * Providing support for innovative approaches to teaching, curriculum development, and instructional design in collaboration with deans and faculty. * Promoting faculty development initiatives that advance inclusive pedagogy, high-impact practices, and student success. Workforce Development and Curriculum-to-Career Alignment * Collaborating with faculty, deans, and external partners to identify emerging workforce trends and align academic offerings with regional and national needs. * Supporting the development of academic pathways, including microcredentials, certificates, stackable credentials, and applied learning opportunities. * Championing experiential learning as a core component of workforce preparation and promote industry-informed curriculum design across disciplines. * Facilitating collaboration between academic programs and career-focused units to strengthen student outcomes and post-graduation success. Communication, Coordination, and Planning Support * Preparing and distributing official communications from the Office of the Provost related to academic operations (e.g., course planning guidance, academic timelines). * Collaborating with institutional partners to ensure alignment between academic initiatives and broader enrollment, student success, and workforce efforts. * Contributing to academic planning by identifying programmatic opportunities, areas for innovation, and strategies to enhance academic quality and sustainability. * Working with the Provost and Academic Affairs leadership to support the alignment of academic priorities with available resources and institutional planning.
