DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
Adjunct faculty teach department courses on a part-time basis and evaluate student performance pursuant to guidelines set by the department and the College. Adjunct faculty report to the Department Chair for their discipline. Adjunct faculty are responsible for preparing lesson plans, teaching aids, and instructional materials or activities for class. Adjunct faculty must maintain accurate records on students and submit pertinent data to the department and/or the College.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To meet Minimum Qualifications, you will need to fulfill one (1) of the following:
A. Preferred; Bachelor's Degree, five (5) years current work experience in the Automotive Repair field, ASE Master Technician in all eight (8) areas, NYS inspector's license.
B. Five years of current work experience, after the completion of a post-secondary, two-year Automotive Technology degree. NYS Inspectors License. Preferably, ASE certifications, current manufacturer's or aftermarket automotive training in the area of instruction.
C. A professional CTE teaching certificate from course work at an accredited college and satisfactory evaluation of professional responsibilities. Preferably, ASE certifications, current manufacturer's or aftermarket automotive training in the area of instruction.
D. Journeyman status in his/her profession determined by the application of equivalencies in the individual academic unit and satisfactory evaluation of professional responsibilities. POSITION SUMMARY
The Resort Journeyman Electrician is responsible for maintaining the electrical systems and sub systems for the resort. This includes identifying potential electrical hazards and recommending corrective actions to ensure the safe operation of electrical systems. The Resort Journeyman Electrician works directly with the Senior/Master Electrician to prevent and solve electrical issues. This is a full-time year-round benefit eligible position. The pay range for this role is $30-$35/hr based upon experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Respond to work orders as they come in through the maintenance system
Work on preventive maintenance tasks
Troubleshoot electrical systems
Provide corrective action plans to resolve issues
Support snowmaking operation by offering preventative maintenance in the pump houses and with any associated snowmaking equipment
Respond to after hour's maintenance calls as needed
Make critical decisions in a timely manner that will have as little impact on the guest experience as possible
Make phone calls to management in a timely manner to minimize down time
Follow all safety policies and wear all prescribed PPE
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Preferred Education: Technical Diploma, Associate Degree or two years college course work
Vermont State electrical apprenticeship certificate
Must possess a valid Vermont State Journeymen Electricians license or be able to obtain licensure within one year from date of hire

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for summer trail maintenance. This role will be tasked with trimming trees, cutting trees, weed trimming, trimming brush, chipping, mulching, and appropriately removing debris from trails. Additional on hill and shop tasks may be required based on resort needs. This is a seasonal full-time position, compensated at $20/hour.

Mow, mulch, and seed exposed trails

POSITION SUMMARY
The Infant Head Teacher is responsible for meeting the daily needs of infants 6 weeks to 15 months. The Infant Head Teacher must be able to provide excellent guest service by encouraging engagement among all children in the classroom, and continuously communicating with parents/guardians about their child's experience during that given day. REQUIREMENTS:

Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.

Works in conjunction with College Public Safety staff to observe and report suspicious activity or behavior while providing site security for indoor or outdoor events such as concerts, guest speakers, parties, or dances.
Promotes positive relations with the entire campus community and guests of the college. Utilizes problem-solving, mediation and de-escalation strategies when dealing with the public.
Must work collaboratively, as a member of a team or independently, and accept direction from supervisors.
Must have strong inter-personal skills and the ability to provide directions, relay guidelines and communicate general information to event attendees.
Must be able to address minor complaints related to parking, event requirements or college policies and direct larger concerns to supervisors.
Must be dependable, responsible and able to exercise good judgment in the performance of assigned duties.
Requirements
High school diploma and valid driver's license preferred.
Prior experience in safety, security, parking control or crowd control is desirable.
Strong inter-personal skills and experience with conflict resolution is preferred.
Knowledge of the Middlebury College campus and college policies is desirable.
First Aid, CPR & AED training is desirable.
Must handle confidential matters with appropriate discretion and pass a background check.
Other:
Must be 18 years of age or older. There are no mandatory assignments and most are short term in nature. Special Events Staff employees work on an on-call, part-time basis. Must be able to stand for long hours and work outside in all types of weather.
