Construction Project Manager Hiring in Cincinnati Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following: Lead by Example: Project Set up and Management Responsibilities: Ensure that you have received an adequate turnover of information from Estimating. Include a manpower plan based on estimate. Manpower planning - Coordinate with field superintendent of manpower needs. Manage an update the manpower planning document weekly. Attend all project planning and scheduling meetings. Manage the procurement process on projects assigned, the material and equipment need to be scheduled, tracked, and delivered on time for the field to install. Build Lifelong Partnerships: Nurture and enhance relationships with customers who you are currently working with and have worked with in the past. Subcontractor management: Select qualified subcontractors to perform specific scopes of work. Ensure all subs have an updated Master trade agreement and Subcontract specific with scope of work they are to perform. Act with Integrity: Receive, review, and understand our contractual responsibilities and the responsibilities of others . Work with customer to be very clear when items are outside of our scope and will cause company to absorb cost. Know when to fight the good fight on changes and added scope. Review weekly the field and shop labor control documents and update the weekly productivity forms. Report during weekly internal Project Meeting - TAKE NECESSARY ACTIONS TO REVERSE NEGITIVE TRENDS. Perform safety audits every month for each project your assigned and send to safety director. Review daily reports that foreman are uploading in Autodesk Build, perform daily safety reports when on jobsite. Put People First: Ensure Company and project safety requirements are understood and followed by all. Provide leadership, mentorship and oversight to all employees Challenge the Ordinary: Support/ Develop Company's Continuous Improvement Philosophy and process: Provide input to continuously improvement and enhance of all company functions including labor planning, tracking and productivity analysis. Provide input on assigned Field Foreman and Field crews for recognition, promotion, development, and discipline. Participate fully in Company training sessions. Ensure Company and project policies are followed. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 10 years of experience in the construction industry and trades 4-year degree in Construction Management or Engineering highly preferred OSHA 30 training required. Mechanical Construction project experience and in-depth working knowledge of mechanical, sheet metal MEP and/or associated building methods Working knowledge of basic principles of business regarding project oversight and budgeting Proficient in MS Office Suite Able to decipher and understand technical drawings and blueprints, manuals and produce specification sheets, and engineering and architectural drawings and schematics. Advanced verbal and writing skills. Generating Submittals, Writing RFI's, Processing PO's and construction financials Review, submit and manage Change Orders documents. Responsibilities Act as the primary liaison between architects and trade contractors for all construction activities. Develop and implement the overall project work schedule, identify the critical path, and expedite critical materials and equipment for on-time delivery. Manage the project’s safety with each trade. Ensure all trades comply with project standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations. Oversee project activities, including adherence to approved contract documents, scheduling, logistics, quality control, field operations, and workforce requirements. Support project team with technical guidance and jobsite planning throughout the project. Foster collaboration across trades to promote efficient project operations. Document and resolve project issues related to procedures, design clarifications, labor, equipment, and schedules. Manage relationships with trade partners and their employees. Oversee the implementation and approval of project mock-ups and associated testing. Assure timely receipt of all required trade permits and insurance throughout the project term. Act as a liaison with inspection agencies. Manage General Requirements within the project budget. Process and verify monthly estimates of work completed, payrolls, billing for Work-In-Place (WIP), material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications. Champion continuous improvement by implementing efficient practices, program enhancements, and waste reduction strategies. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of construction experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). In-depth understanding of commercial construction operations and self-perform work. Thorough knowledge of general and subcontract documents, drawings, specifications, construction methods, materials, and line and grade/survey methods. Strong understanding of construction cost control, scheduling, estimating, purchasing principles. Working knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and project safety programs. Proficient knowledge of building codes and compliance requirements. Ability to create and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. Proven leadership experience with the ability to make decisions, direct teams, and build strong working relationships. Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong management and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders across all levels, including clients, design teams, and trade partners. Skilled in issue management and problem-solving. Experience with continuous improvement methods and tools. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, construction scheduling software, and project management applications.
