SNI has an immediate need for a Paving Superintendent to join a successful commercial site development firm headquartered in Baltimore County, MD!
The successful Paving Superintendent candidate will supervise, provide direction and guidance to job site Foremen on day-to-day field operations relating to asphalt placement activities at various sites.
Responsibilities:
Perform job site quality control checks; ensure quality assurance on all phases of work; visit assigned job sites on a continuous basis to assess the productivity, quality, safety, and scheduling of manpower and equipment and report to the appropriate person(s); ensure efficiency and quality work relating to the placement of asphalt; ensure the punch list for job cleanup is completed and a documented follow up walk-through done to ensure all punch list items have been addressed.
Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of several Foremen; fill in for Foremen when needed; work with Foremen to coordinate forces when possible to increase productivity; coach/mentor Foremen to adopt a more collaborative approach to leadership and on improving communications on the job site; accountable for timely and accurate completion of employee paperwork/forms to include but not limited to Employee Status Change (i.e. pay rate, address/name change, termination, promotion, benefits enrollment, etc.), Performance Appraisal, Attendance Reports, Warning Notices, First Report of Injury, Accident Reports, etc.
Review all projects to focus on equipment and manpower among divisions to maximize efficiency; review job costs, manpower, and equipment utilization reports; attend all in-house preplanning/preconstruction meetings; ensure “essential information” for running a more efficient and productive jobsite is filtered down to the Foremen after every preplanning/preconstruction meeting (to ensure continuity and accuracy of the information this should be provided in a standardized report format so all foreman receive the same type of information); plan and review projects with Estimators and Foremen to provide input on job site organization and resource allocation; assist Estimators when requested with bid preparation.
Monitor all job site operations for compliance with contract requirements for noise and dust control, non-interruption of Government activities, and utility shutdown procedures; promote and enforce safety policies; have a solid understanding of site safety, health, and substance abuse programs to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel at the job site, address basic questions from employees, and/or know where to direct job site personnel to get their questions answered.
Check equipment to monitor for abuse, neglect, repairs and utilization; work with Equipment Manager to make recommendations on new and additional equipment needs.
Interface with Owner's representatives and other parties external to the company to ensure overall progress on the jobs meets their expectations and demands.
Qualifications:
High School education is required. Some college work in Construction, Engineering, and Business courses preferred.
3 to 5 years' experience in Asphalt Paving Foreman capacity or 5 to 7 years of field/road construction experience with at least (3) three years in a leadership position.

Position Summary:
The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction operations across multiple ecological restoration projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of managing logistics, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Contracting & Pre-Construction
Own and manage construction schedules, budget, and project profitability
Coordinate with Sales team on project turnover once contracts are signed
Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Manage material vendors, subcontractors, and equipment rentals.
Manage materials submittals, vendor setup, and pre-construction activities.
Schedule and lead kickoff meetings with project internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate with regulators onsite (ESC, MDE, AHJ) and maintain compliance.
Work with internal and external team to coordinate surveying benchmarks and control points before, stake out, layout, before, during and after construction.
Create project binder and field documents for Foreman.
Active Construction
Track and enforce daily reporting and material delivery logs.
Manage RFIs, material product data submittals, and material delivery tracking.
Oversee vendor ordering, tracking, and invoicing.
Prepare and approve change order estimates and submittals.
Update financial tracking with costs daily, weekly, and monthly.
Provide weekly progress updates to clients and maintain Gantt chart schedules.
Develop and manage punch lists completion; schedule substantial completion meetings with clients, and timely closeout of projects.
Coordinate and confirm as-built documentation is completed timely and accurate.
Coordinate final inspections and removal of E&S controls.
Responsible for owner pay applications and invoicing on projects.
Closeout
Execute punch list items and manage as-built submission to client.
Prepare as-built submittal with relined drawings, material submittals, and warranty.
Schedule and facilitate handoff meeting for Monitoring and Maintenance teams, including transfer of as-built files, contract terms, budget allocations, and risk discussion.
Close out bonds and transfer to maintenance bond.
Qualifications:
Must be positive, flexible, and customer-service oriented
7+ years of experience in construction management
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Blue Beam, Smartsheet) and Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Experience working in site civil construction or related field.
Familiarity with invoicing and unit price practices related to site construction.
Ability to travel to project sites and meetings in around the Maryland, DC, Pennsylvania, Virginia regions.

Position Summary:

Essential Job Functions

Develop and deliver executive-level reporting packages. Draft high-level presentations, technical memoranda, and executive summaries on project status, schedule health, and key decision points. Regularly brief senior leadership.
Own dashboard-driven portfolio reporting for senior stakeholders. Must have novice-level understanding of Power BI to maintain Excel and Power BI dashboards to track and report progress across assigned project portfolios to ensure timely delivery of the Government construction program. Assess schedule risk and recommend mitigation strategies.
Lead internal documentation efforts to inform policies, procedures, and best practices. Contribute to SOPs, lessons learned, post-occupancy reports, and continuous improvement documentation.
Develop and Analyze Integrated Master Schedules. Use scheduling techniques and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to support schedule development, review IMS consolidation, and assess programmatic risks.
Monitor Cost and Earned Value Metrics. Support project performance evaluations using EVM, trend analysis, and cost reporting. Review and communicate schedule/cost variances with stakeholders.
Support Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Acquisition Tasks. Assist the Government in developing and reviewing PWS and RFP templates, and standard operating procedures. Gather background data and help document requirements.
Support Technical Reviews and Risk Assessments. Evaluate project risk registers and mitigation plans for consistency across the portfolio. Assist with the identification of risk escalation to the appropriate stakeholder. Support development of risk mitigation strategies.
Serve as a strategic interface between construction execution and program-level reporting. Translate site-level activity into executive deliverables, briefings, and documentation to support broader organizational goals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Science, or Mathematics and ten (10) years of related work experience with five (5) years of relevant construction management experience, with 2-3 years of those in leadership positions.

This role supports a commercial general contractor renowned for delivering high-quality customer interiors and renovation projects across sectors such as restaurants, retail, hospitality, office spaces, and complex exterior work.
Responsibilities
+ Report to the Senior VP of Construction Operations and collaborate with Project Managers for each project.
+ Coordinate with trade contractors and their subcontractors to ensure completion of high-quality work.
+ Supervise large, complex projects from inception to completion.
+ Document and communicate work plans effectively.
+ Manage the project budget for general contracting and site services.
+ Monitor safety performance and ensure safety compliance.
+ Lead weekly contractor meetings and oversee daily field reports.
+ Communicate effectively with architects and owners.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience supporting custom interior construction projects valued at $1 million.
+ Experience working with general contractors, owners, or designers.
+ Experience supporting Food & Beverage projects.
+ Proficiency in running safety procedures.
+ Experience in independently running a project.
+ Experience in managing subcontractors.
+ Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
+ Client interfacing experience.
+ Ability to manage a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related field is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment involves 90% of time spent on project sites and 10% in the office for meetings and documentation. Projects are located in the DMV area and typically last 4-6 months. Onsite hours are from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm, depending on noise restrictions. Duties & Responsibilities
