Key Responsibilities:
Assist project manager and estimating in the creation of work plans and CPM schedules.

Position Summary
Assists the Project Manager on individual or multiple projects by providing direction and coordination of construction activities on assigned jobs to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate leads and employees. May be required to assist jobsite personnel with pre-installation jobsite demolition and/or the installation of Bellingham Marine's dock systems as needed. From time to time, may also be required to fulfill other responsibilities and requirements as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Has the ability to read and analyze schedules in MS Project or the ability to be fully functional in a short period of time. Can plan, organize and schedule work with the absence of direct outside information to develop preliminary schedules and work plans.
* Studies drawings and specifications to plan procedures for construction on the basis of starting and completion times and on the basis of staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
* Coordinates members of organization including supervisory and field crews throughout the project.
* Orders procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.

* Reviews and approves invoices for projects' construction operations. Coordinates with customers, engineers and inspectors for the generation and approval of applications for payment.
* Administers project documentation which records contract compliance; documents changes to the work; prepares, negotiates and administers changes to the contract; notifies parties to the contract of changes (via change orders); notifies parties to the contract of disputes; secures authorization for additional work; and resolves other project-related issues.
* Administers Company safety program relating to all project site activities and ensures effective loss control procedures are implemented.

The incumbent will work closely with District TBMP Program staff to make recommendations regarding training, condition ratings and identify possible deficiencies. Be able to train District TBMP inspectors how to perform and document field evaluations. The incumbent is responsible for performing TBMP inspection activities throughout the state. Review field data provided by district inspectors to ensure accuracy and quality. Provide QA/QC of verified field reports into database for submission to the statewide database. Ensure that all district inspectors are trained in proper use of handheld computers and Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment. Working Conditions

The work setting is open space and in a climate-controlled office of a six story building in downtown Sacramento. The incumbent will be subjected to long exposure to computers, various lighting conditions, and standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Wear and use all required personal safety equipment. Fieldwork is required including exposure to high-speed traffic. Incumbent must follow all policies, procedures, and safe working practices. Overview:
Working under the direct supervision of the Operations Director the Project Superintendent will be responsible for assuming ownership of one or more entire projects and monitoring the performance of them including safety, quality, scheduling, budgeting and overall client satisfaction. The Project Superintendent will be responsible for direction of site crews while implementing and adhering to protocols in compliance with company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal compliance laws. The Project Superintendent will work in collaboration with all Project Managers, clients and vendors to ensure projects are completed professional and in a timely manner ensuring projects are completed within budget, on time and to the level of quality expected by SEL Construction and our clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Superintendent will be primarily responsible for the coordination, planning, organization and direction of all job-related activities and supervision of all SEL Construction field personnel as required to successfully complete each project on schedule, within budget while ensuring the clients complete satisfaction. The Project Superintendent plays a key role within SEL Construction and will liaison with the Project Managers, Clients and other key personnel throughout the duration of each contract. The Project Superintendent will also be responsible for the following duties (but not limited to):
Schedule, assign and supervise, through subordinate supervisory personnel, all activities within each job site while ensuring occupational health and safety of all SEL Construction employees, subcontractors, project teams, clients, guests and assets in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, departmental and company policies, as well as industry standards and practices.
Coordinate department and job site assignments and provide daily logs, photos, updates, reports, and any documentation pertaining to the status of the job.
Must be able to accurately comprehend plans, specifications, and contracts to be able to inspect work in progress and assure compliance with applicable codes and industry standards, project specifications and quality assurance throughout the duration of the contract.
Train and monitor the performance of assigned personnel and conduct performance management on a regular basis.
Perform daily job site work completion and reviews ensuring applicable quality control measures in accordance with SEL Construction policies and procedures.
Effectively communicate with SEL Construction Warehouse personnel to ensure timely delivery of job site materials and/or equipment.
Corroborates Job Hazard Analysis occurs before scope of work commences and adheres to and ensures all site team members understand and practice safe operating and worksite safety procedures.
Identify and mitigate potential employee relations issues, schedule changes, workflow, and staffing needs and provide necessary feedback to the Operations Director
Maintain and promote an organized job site, including any on-site construction offices.
Ensure all Sub-Contractor contracts and vendor submittals are abiding by SEL Construction policies and procedures as well as safety, local, state and federal laws.
Review plans prior to contract commencing and ensure site prep work is executed according to contract, design and specifications and ensure on-site personnel cooperation.
Responsible for the business and relationship development and maintenance of any past, present, or future management, consultants, clients, employees and/or guests related to all SEL Construction contracts.
Work in conjunction with the Human Resources Director to develop and implement employee recognition and/or performance review.
Work in collaboration with SEL Constructions Executives, Directors and Managers to ensure the companys overall objectives, goals, operational functions as well as policies and procedures.
Maintain current and proficient knowledge of uniform building codes and inspection processes.
Maintain current and valid certifications as required by SEL Construction and deemed necessary by safety, local, state and federal laws.
Core Competencies and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Superintendent in commercial or industrial construction environment, preferably in the solar energy industry
Minimum 5 years experience working with various large commercial construction projects, or simultaneously working on multiple smaller projects with various commercial construction types such as renovations, ground up, etc.
Ability to work in a diverse environment with minimal supervision and direction.

The Site Superintendent's primary duty is to maintain the highest level of client satisfaction within the bounds of the contract, estimate, and planned level of quality. The major duties of this position are listed below. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive; other duties may be required and/or assigned.
