A Superintendent is responsible for the daily operations of a construction site from planning projects to overseeing their completion. Generally, tasks include scheduling work to proceed according to a strict schedule, monitoring subcontractor performance, and ensuring work corresponds with contract documents. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide support to the General Manager with the overall management and coordination of Task Order Projects assigned. Serve as the Subcontractors and craftspeople central point of contact for the day-to-day operations. Ensure a thorough understanding and knowledge of contract plans and specifications. Provide support in the planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects. Assist with budget monitoring and trend tracking to controls expenditures within limitations of project budget. Monitor work performed; analyze performance and establish corrective actions and controls. Anticipates potential schedule or priority delays and plans for alternative actions. Review project status weekly with the sub-contractors and assist in managing project scope, timeline, and budget. Respond to off-duty recalls to meet priority or emergency work requirements. Advises the General Manager of project status on a regular basis. Assist in the preparation of project daily reports, weekly progress, monthly status, and final project reports. Provide daily reports to General Manager on all activities the Project Superintendent is involved in each day. Provide leadership to ensure that work is performed in accordance with contract plans and specifications. Support QC testing requirements are followed and document results. Provide support to the management team and leadership of subcontractors. Examine subcontractor means and methods, material delivery schedules and identify constraints. Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs. QUALIFICATIONS: 5-7 years of Project Superintendent experience in telecommunications inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) projects. Experience including organization, management, administration, quality control and health and safety. Experience with scheduling personnel, equipment, and material resources, understanding of financial management and general accounting requirements. Ability to work extended work schedules as required supporting the project execution plans and schedules. Professional demeanor in person, online, and via phone with excellent verbal and written communication skills. S. citizenship or U.S permanent resident status required. A valid drivers' license issued by state of residence and in good standing. Must not have any reckless driving or DUI within the past ten years. Will be required to pass facility security clearance investigation.
