A typical day looks like:
Establishing and managing field staffing and support.
Managing and facilitating all day-to-day activities on the project site.
Preparing, reviewing, updating and analyzing project schedules on a regular basis with subcontractors, vendors, and project manager; communicating any schedule changes or adjustments to appropriate parties.
Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and laborers to meet project schedules.
Developing Site Specific Safety Plans with Safety Manager and reviewing them monthly with project teams and Safety Manager as a part of overall management of IC's Safety Program.
Inspection of work in place, including shoring, placing, steel reinforcing, post-tensioning, and all other items for compliance with project specifications.

Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Testing and Commissioning is required for all of these above mentioned systems as well.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, schedules, and resource allocation. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are clearly defined and met.
Lead, mentor, and manage construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers. Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and efficiency.

**Summary**
The **Project Superintendent** directly and through subordinate Superintendents, oversees profitable installation of project work by directing co-workers and interfacing, coordinating and directing other trades. Responsible for all areas on medium or large projects including prime contracts. Responsible for safety, planning, cost and productivity, while perpetuating an SQP culture. Responsible for high level client relationship through professional conduct.

Superintendent job in Kings Bay Base, GA
We are looking for Construction Superintendent candidates to join our Field Operations team for projects located at King's Bay, Georgia (located on an active military base). Superintendents are responsible for the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of all construction work activities, assigned employees, and subcontractors on a project job site, to safely produce quality work, within the project requirements (i.e., RFP, plans, specifications, and proposal documents) targeted budget, schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Candidates local to projects will be given priority, though relocation to on-site management may be required for the Superintendent position.
Pay: $110-$150K per year

REQUIREMENTS:
* A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required for this position.
* College courses or degree in construction management, engineering, etc. preferred.
* Five or more years work experience in a Superintendent position (e.g., scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production of all phases in construction) on medium-sized projects is required with four or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in the construction industry required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred. Work in the design-build industry and on large-sized projects is preferred.
* Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
* Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) preferred.
* CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS required; Training can be provided.
* Spanish-English bilingual skills desirable.
* LEED GA/AP Credential desirable.
