Position Summary
Reporting to the Fleet Director, the Superintendent, Technical (AML) manages an assigned fleet of vessels, ensuring the ships are at optimal operational readiness with strong focus on safety and vessel reliability. This role involves developing and implementing AML policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Superintendent, Technical (AML) works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective AML controls are in place and provides guidance on technical solutions to enhance AML processes. Additionally, this role involves staying current on industry trends and best practices related to AML compliance.
Functions & Duties
1) Lead and ensure Safety at all levels
* Promote and develop safety mindset onboard and in the office

* Ensure ships comply at all times with International, flag state, classification society and port state rules and regulations
2) Oversee crew management matters
* Be the Manager of your onboard team

* Ensure team members are trained, coached and mentored in alignment with industry standards and organization needs
* Responsible for the overall welfare of crew onboard
3) Manage maintenance of ships to ensure seaworthiness
* Coordinate with service engineers, manufacturers and contractors for ship repairs and maintenance issues
* Consult with manufacturers for specialist advice and guidance in complex ship repairs and maintenance issues
* Ensure ships' conditions and maintenance standards adhere to organisation procedures
* Prepare specifications and evaluate tenders
* Monitor ship defects list and ensure follow-up is carried out to address defects
* Conduct Risk Analysis, including nature and causes of serious breakdowns and damages
4) Manage ship budget and expenditure
* Monitor operating costs and submit quarterly budget follow-up reports
* Submit reports on budget, monthly key performance indicators and targets
* Resource planning management to support vessel operations

The General Superintendent is responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating all the activities of one or more construction projects in accordance with the customer contract, the project documents, and the approved budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

* Project Landowners: The CM establishes a transparent and respectful line of communication between the construction team and the landowners. ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:
Support the objectives and direction of construction superintendent by:
Reviewing the plans and specifications to build project schedules, identify any potential scope gaps and submit RFIs to clarify constructability items. Scheduling pre-construction site meetings with all trade partners to review the site conditions and schedules.
Attending all pre-construction meetings, project progress meetings and any company held safety, quality and informational meetings.
Leading onsite daily toolbox talk meetings.
Updating of the 2-3 week look-ahead schedules weekly, and identifying items for the Constraints Log. Sending to the Project Team 2 days prior to the OAC meeting for final review.
Knowing all aspects of the current plans, specs and notes throughout the most up to date construction set.
Daily tracking of all long lead items, plan revisions, submittals and updating Project Management of any and all onsite condition changes or constraints.
Coordinating with Project Management any and all changes or RFIs by marking and red-lining plans with this updated information daily.
Coordinating all onsite trade changes to the marked-up drawings. Deliver as-built drawings to the Project Team upon final completion of the project.
Creating a minimum of five (5) observations per week , including documentation photos for distribution.
Planning and scheduling to ensure the project progresses according to the schedules hard milestones, as well as tracking and coordinating all labor and material costs.
Project Site objectives:
Meeting with all trade foremen every morning prior to the commencement of their scope (first work in place) to ensure contract durations and start times align with the construction schedule and inform trades of any discrepancies.
Creating and conducting weekly subcontractor planning meetings for the next 2-3 weeks scheduled work, and updating the schedule.
Reviewing the project budget on a weekly basis and discussing any variances with the Project Team. Recording any and all delays, damages or re-work for back-up of possible subcontractor material and labor back charges or COs to the owner.
Maintaining maximum project efficiency and management of costs by:
Scheduling manpower a week in advance by replying to the Weekly Manpower request schedule by COB every Tuesday. Record any additional labor/manpower onsite .
Arranging for, and being available to receive deliveries and provide for materials and/or supplies to projects in a timely manner.
Maintaining or improving the job schedule by identifying ways to create or make up time as soon as the schedule is reviewed. Eliminating the Red Xs/extended general conditions.
Regularly reviewing and updating task timelines by capturing any delays in writing and recording those events .
Supervising the layout and all work performed, ensuring it is correct and in compliance with plans, specifications and local building codes and laws. Stop the work if at any point it does not conform with local building codes, drawings or specifications and notify the project team immediately and make the necessary plan for corrections.
Driving the scheduled subcontractors to deliver on a timely basis. Logging in daily reports of all employees directly under their supervision.
Understanding of all Subcontractors contractual scopes. Continuously monitor field personnels performance against the Superintendents projected performance according to estimates.
Reconciling receipts with all required information in Certify for accounting processing.
Daily Superintendent Administration:
Creating and maintaining accurate daily reports and weekly progress reports.
Taking multiple photos daily of the site and work progress load in the daily reports and progress reports.
Recording a minimum of one (1) Observation in daily report each day.
Ensure Quality and Safety Standards by:
Ensuring the workmanship meets or exceeds quality standards, specifying and documenting those standards by defining how the work executed by holding at least one weekly meeting with the subs to discuss and review a written set of quality standards (SSQP) prior to starting their work.
Preparing and scheduling all quality and safety inspections of first work in place, including that of the subcontractor and any 2nd-tier subcontractors. Scheduling all necessary inspections regularly.
Enforcing the site safety 3-strike rule with all subcontractors and preparing all documentation and forwarding to the project team.
Ensuring subcontractors are following the companys safety manual and all related jobsite protocol:

As a Construction Manager with SERVPRO of North Bethesda/Aspen Hill/Rossmoor, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service is provided to all customers and clients! In this role, you will manage a wide range of functions on all construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee operations of all construction projects and ensure customer and client satisfaction
Manage the construction team and assign leas to superintendents

Ensure all work performed complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work.

**NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS**

Job Description
Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager(s) for upcoming projects to monitor construction projects for clients, with direct accountability for project delivery.
The Construction Project Manager shall manage all facets of project management for individual projects while protecting the client's best interests in a manner that will facilitate delivering quality projects on-time and with-in budget.

Responsibilities:
* Conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of construction.
* Review status of work completed during the period covered.
* Review that work is generally proceeding in a good and workmanlike manner and in general accordance with the approved drawings and specifications.
* Review contractors' direct cost payment requisitions and budget status.
* Review of subcontracts, bonds/subcontractor default insurance.
* Review of change orders.
* Review of developer's monthly job cost reports, opine on adequacy of contingency.

* Review of lien waiver and other documentation submitted by the developer.
* Prepare project status reports and recommend the release of construction funds.

* Review and make relevant comments concerning the terms of the construction agreement, the submitted subcontracts, architectural and engineering design agreements, building loan agreement as well as review both contractor and architect's qualification statements.
* Review and comment on construction and disbursement schedules as well as other submitted document including but not limited to:
* zoning approvals
* certified surveys
* building permits and approvals,
* utility company approval letters
* soil and foundation engineering reports
* designer's certification of code and ADA compliance.

Essential Job Functions

**A day in the life of an Assistant Neighborhood Construction Manager (ANCM):**
Life as an ANCM is fast paced, exciting and different each day. You'll start your mornings before the usual office staff on site at your neighborhood and serve as the second in command when it comes to quality control, scheduling contractors and trade installations as well as keeping the site clean, safe and working efficiently. You will be the right hand of your Construction Manager and a big part of making sure our homes are built to our standards and delivered to our homebuyers on time. On a daily basis you will complete tasks like ordering building materials, reviewing, and confirming selections for each home built, while building relationships with the sales, purchasing and construction teams throughout the building process to deliver each home to the homeowner.
**What is Stanley Martin looking for in an ANCM?**
A great ANCM candidate is eager to learn anything and everything associated with the role and will be excited to come to work every day with intentions of moving up to the Neighborhood Construction Management position in the future. Being organized and detail oriented is very important in staying on top of each home being built as well as being able to build relationships with homeowners and trade partners.

Construction Superintendent - Healthcare - Reston, VA
Reston, VA
My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial construction projects. This role is critical to ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will serve as the on-site leader, coordinating all trades and managing day-to-day construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all on-site construction activities and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff
* Maintain daily logs, schedules, and reports
* Lead site meetings and communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and inspectors
* Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and building codes
* Utilize tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, and Excel for documentation and scheduling

The Successful Applicant
* Progressive experience in the skilled trades and/or a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
* Proven experience leading ground-up, new construction, and renovation projects
* At least three completed new construction projects as a lead superintendent
* Experience managing projects valued at $25 million or more (preferred)
* Familiarity with Procore, P6, and Excel
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
