How You'll Contribute

What You'll Bring
5-10 years of experience as a superintendent in commercial construction.
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, trade scopes, and site logistics.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
This role is active and hands-on. You'll spend most of your time on construction sites, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, crouching, kneeling, and occasionally lifting materials. You'll need clear vision, good hearing, and strong communication to stay safe and effective. Some desk time is required for updating schedules, reviewing plans, and sending project updates.
You'll work in a mix of environments-from climate-controlled buildings to outdoor sites in all kinds of weather. Renovation projects may involve exposure to existing materials or conditions that require extra precautions. PPE is provided and expected when needed. Establish and maintain a schedule to ensure all services are delivered in a timely fashion, above the line, professionally and with empathy including participation in “On-Call rotation” which involves some nights and weekend assignments.

Minimum 5 years Hands-On Construction Experience
2 years Project Management Experience (preferred)
Strong Remodeling/Restoration Experience (preferred)
Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously
Must have a valid Drivers License
Reliable transportation
Able to move and/or lift 50+ lbs.
Pass background check and drug screen
Xactimate experience -preferred

The Senior Project Superintendent is responsible for the profitable field operations on complex, large projects after demonstrating ability to successfully complete smaller projects. The Senior Project Superintendent is also responsible to establish the safety culture on the jobsite and work closely with the Project Manager to manage schedule, budget, and staff to achieve profitable outcomes. This individual should also create and maintain effective client, vendor, supplier, and subcontractor relationships. This position typically reports to the most senior Project Manager on the job.

What You'll Do:
Act as the primary leader of subcontractors and field forces on a job site
Maintain project safety in accordance with the Company's Safety Policy
Develop and update the project schedule, resource allocation, and work processes
Prepare two-week look ahead schedules
Oversee daily construction activities ensuring work meets quality standards, project timelines, and budgets
Coordinate with subcontractors, manage their performance, and ensure they adhere to contract requirements and safety protocols
Conduct regular site inspections, identify and address quality issues, and ensure work meets project specifications
Identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively to maintain project momentum and project schedule
Update project schedules utilizing computerized scheduling software
Assist with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors
Oversee all aspects of project execution, including constructions schedules, budgets, and quality control
Supervise and coordinate all field personnel, subcontractors, and construction activities
Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all employees and subcontractors
Maintain strong communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders
Coordinate the work of the subcontractors' field forces
Communicate effectively both externally with owners, designers, and engineers as well as internally with the project team
Maintain accurate cost reports
Ensure all required paperwork is completed, accurate, and timely
Adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures
Provide opportunities to help the team develop, learn, and grow
Foster positive relationships with both internal and external parties
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
8+ years of Project Superintendent experience required
Commercial construction experience working for a general contractor (GC) is required
Experience leading, developing, and mentoring a team
Experience in senior living, student housing, hospitality, condominium, and/or other lived in product type construction is desired
Skills:
Ability to read/interpret construction documents
Knowledge of construction methods and materials
Excellent project organizational skills
Impressive leadership skills with the desire to teach, mentor, and develop a team
Business acumen and relationship building skills
Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization
Technology:
Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to learn specific job-related software upon hire
