The Superintendent communicates project priorities to site staff and all subcontractors, serving as the primary leader on site for the construction project. In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable. 5+ years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor Tenant renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, fast paced project experience all a plus Mastery of building processes and best practices Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results Project lead experience preferred Previous experience in a superintendent or project lead experience preferred Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex. Job Description Responsibilities • Assist in preconstruction activities on projects; scope development, scheduling and estimating • Orchestrate a plan from the beginning of construction to completion of the project, including accurately projecting construction activities for scheduling purposes • Interpret drawings, details of drawings, and specifications • Achieve objectives through direction of individuals, teams and subcontractors • Work with senior management to track job progress and costs • Complete daily reports and safety inspections • Submit all documentation as required • Direct, coordinate, and facilitate meetings for owners, subcontractors, architects and local authorities • Manage all punch list items. Ensure that all outstanding punch list items are completed on time • Identify potential sales opportunities and communicate them to senior management • Demonstrate positive and courteous interpersonal skills in all work environments • Provide general estimates for construction materials • Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Qualifications • High school diploma required. Bachelors degree in construction management or related field preferred. • A minimum of 10 years work experience as a commercial construction superintendent. • Excellent communication skills. • First Aid/CPR certification required. • Must have a valid driver's license. • Must complete 30h OSHA training. • Fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel and other software packages • Ability to conceptualize the “big picture” from blueprints and construction drawings, and translate that vision into a well-constructed facility. • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
