Key job responsibilities
The Data Center Construction Manager will be responsible for construction project management and oversight of construction related activities as they relate to new builds or general capital projects which includes the ownership of the project scope, quality, schedule, and budget.
Some of the typical daily tasks of the Construction Manager:
Direct interface with construction general contractors during the bidding, award, execution, and project closeout/punch list phases.
Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
Create construction project scope and request for proposals.
Financial analysis of construction.
Construction project management for specific initiatives aimed at increasing the resiliency of our data centers.
Constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs associated with the construction of new data centers or optimization of existing data centers.
Construction document management including submittal review, RFI's, change orders, and invoicing.
Construction project quality control.
Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.
Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root-cause failure analysis associated with equipment failures.
Be a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center.
Able to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings for all disciplines.
Define data center system-level architecture, specify/document performance and equipment requirements, create/communicate conceptual designs, and create/maintain project documentation.
Experience with large scale technical operations or large-scale compute farms.
Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
Experience in controls and commissioning of large scale projects.
Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
Certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), LEED, and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Basic Qualifications
- Experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers or critical infrastructure or large-scale mechanical and electrical plants
- Experience defining data center system-level architecture, documenting performance and equipment requirements, creating and communicating conceptual designs, and creating and maintaining project documentation

Manage ~5 projects simultaneously from due diligence → turnover → closeout, including:
Attend and coordinate all due diligence tours, ensuring vendors are onboarded and ready.
Manage design timelines, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to hit milestone deadlines.
Oversee permit submission, including municipal requirements, form completion, and Certificate of Occupancy coordination.
Lead GC selection, set expectations for speed, review proposals, and manage subcontractor awards.
Maintain strong field presence: weekly progress visits, LL meetings, consultant surveys, escalation handling.
Schedule and attend all OAC meetings; maintain standard agendas and documentation.
Turnover & Closeout
Coordinate inspections (health, utilities, equipment install), KE and KDS installation, and all turnover vendors.
Manage punch walks, track punchlist completion, and ensure weekly progress photos.
Submit all TI applications, gather closeout documents, upload to SharePoint, and coordinate final Matterport scans within 2 weeks of completion.
Cost Management
Maintain project budget logs and cost tracking.
Review, challenge, and approve all change orders and invoices.
Ensure vendor proposals (millwork, signage, equipment, GC, design) are reviewed within required timelines.
Data, Reporting & Communication
Update Monday.com tasks, notes, and statuses within 24 hours.
Contribute to weekly program reports and PM meetings.
Capture clear meeting notes and tag stakeholders appropriately.
Respond to Slack messages within 5-6 hours.
Manage on-site communication and escalations with clarity and professionalism.
KPIs (Success in This Role Means):
Projects completed within 26-28 weeks from DD to closeout.
GCs deliver construction in 8-10 weeks.
Timely execution of all DD, design, permitting, vendor, and construction milestones.
Projects delivered within 10% of budget, with 98% budget accuracy.

The role will include upwards of 60% travel regionally, with the potential of traveling to all North America locations based on the business needs. The Superintendent is responsible to support the General or Senior Superintendent in overseeing one or more operational areas of a construction project. This position may coordinate and schedule multiple construction crews, determines construction requirements, plans procedures, and ensures subcontract work meets required specifications. The position will also participate in the inspection of work and equipment to verify safety and ensure project operations specifications are met. In this role you may be required to travel up to 100% of the time.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage daily field operational objectives, timelines, and goals.
Monitor the overall progress of a project and work site, review processes and practices within teams to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality of delivery.
Participate in the monitoring of the project schedule and budget and work with Senior Superintendents to maintain and update. Coordinate with the subcontractor's office for recovery plans where necessary, meet regularly with staff and subcontractors to discuss progress, obstacles, challenges and assist in removing barriers to completing work.
Read construction documents to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
Record and maintain information and produce reports such as personnel, production, project logs, status, and other operational data.
Manage the safety of a job site by actively walking the site, participating in inspections, training and meeting with staff and subcontractors regularly.
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
5-7 years in a construction management role and 1 project as a Superintendent
Knowledge of scheduling, cost control and safety procedures
Knowledge of all crafts of construction including, but not limited to carpentry, concrete, structural steel, and interior build-outs
Experience managing performance and leading a diverse field team

Job Description:
The Assistant Superintendent (Assistant Supt.) supports managing work flow consistent with the project schedule, communicates project priorities to field staff and subcontractors, maintains daily log/report of all activities and site conditions, and manages the punch list and closeout process through owner/architect acceptance. The Assistant Supt. understands and administers the HITT safety program to include all subcontractors, ensures that all accidents/incidents are promptly reported and investigated, and assists in safety inspection by outside agencies. The Assistant Supt. assists in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the building aspects of each project in order to meet budget, quality, time and safety objectives.
Responsibilities
* Work with project manager in formulating project schedule, ensure that the proper methods and sequence of installation are followed, makes and follows through with schedule commitments
* Maintain HITT quality standards for all aspects of the project
* Maintain good working relationship with all subcontractors on the project, develop relationships within the community that enhances business opportunities, and ensure subcontractors are treated fairly.
* Ensure complete, accurate daily documentation of work orders/tickets, understand subcontractor scope of work to avoid unnecessary change orders, and identify problems early and act immediately to provide solutions.
* Develop and organize the site team, arrange for temporary facilities/utilities for the site, and identify long lead items that need to be expedited
Qualifications
* High school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
* 2-5 years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
* Tenant renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, fast paced project experience all a plus
* Project lead experience a plus
* Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex. Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam,
* OSHA 30 Certification preferred
* Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift up to 50lbs
* Must demonstrate a strong ability to:

Key Responsibilities

11. Provides leadership and guidance to assigned project team members and subcontractors. Plans, reviews, develops and manages the project team to ensure relentless execution of the project.
12. Responsible for the development and implementation of the Project Quality Management and Safety plans according to Sundt standards as part of the project management plan (PMP).
13. Responsible for the timely completion of all punch lists and develops a schedule as required by the owner for the successful start-up and commissioning of all systems.
Minimum Job Requirements
