o Create site- specific EAPs (Emergency Action Plans) and ensure all on-site foremen have copies
o Maintain SDSs (Safety Data Sheets)
o Assess each job to identify overall safety and health hazards. Reassess as new components of the job begin
o Develop safety rules and job procedures necessary to eliminate or control hazards
o Conduct on-going hazard identification checks and inspections
o Review Injury Reports o Ensure all crew members are up to date on required trainings & certifications
• Maintain excellent communication about projects with the appropriate parties
• Perform some physical duties, when necessary

Primary manager of the onsite operations. Required to be onsite at all times when work is being performed.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties required for this position, the Commercial Superintendent may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. Travel Requirements:
This position will require frequent, mandatory short and long-distance travel throughout California. The ability to travel up to five (5) days per week is a requirement.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Superintendent to ensure the successful delivery of facility modification projects. This position focuses on developing work plans and schedules, managing subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a temporary position located in Placerville, CA that could be extended.
WORKSITE:
On-site and field-based work, with periodic office work required. The construction site is located in Placerville, CA
WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with some weekends, and phase two will require overnights.
PAY RATE:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Responsible for work identification, documentation, prioritization, justification, funding, authorization, estimating, planning, programming, execution, change management, status reporting, cost control, inspection, closeout, and quality control.
Ensure compliance with and support of the Facility Modifications process and policy implementation.
Secure services through in-house resources and subcontractors.
Coordinate all activities with parallel contract staff as required.
Ensure authorized projects are fully coordinated, approved, and completed to the satisfaction of the requestor.
Provide managerial support and technical expertise to support existing lines of business and promote effective business development.
Schedule and prioritize tasks, ensuring adherence to procedures, regulations, and guidelines while minimizing errors and safety risks.
Participate in a variety of departmental and other meetings on a regular basis.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Seven or more years of experience in facilities operations, maintenance, and construction.
Three or more years of business management experience, including P&L responsibility and budgeting.
Knowledge and experience with job order contracting (preferred).
Strong knowledge of planning, purchasing, and project management.
Experience with specialized departmental equipment (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry).
Ability to read and understand construction, electrical, and equipment drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Knowledge of refrigeration, boilers, electrical circuits, plumbing, masonry, and concrete applications.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including presentations.
Strong human relations skills to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (Word, Excel, database, and presentation tools).
Solid mathematical, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
Flexibility to handle changing work priorities and multiple projects.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
A comparable combination of formal education and work experience will be considered.
CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid Driver's License (additional licenses may be required based on local, state, or contract requirements).
OSHA 10 or 30 Certifications are a nice-to-have.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Utilizing the keyboard and viewing the computer screen.
Bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, and reaching.
Climbing ladders and/or step stools as needed.
Standing and walking for extended periods.
Maneuvering in and around worksites.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily performed in an office environment with limited privacy and noise exposure.
The remainder of the work occurs on job sites in the field, including driving to and from worksites.
Employees may be exposed to hazardous equipment, toxic substances, noise, and varying weather conditions (wind, rain, cold, heat).
