Job Description for Superintendent of Concrete Division Our client is a family owned and operated General Construction company based in Reno, Nevada specializing in multi-family, hospitality, and commercial projects. We are looking for a superintendent to direct and oversee all concrete construction activities for our concrete division. This includes bidding, estimating, scheduling, staffing and subcontractor relationships. Provided the candidate meets the minimum requirements listed below, the salary will be $200,000 per year plus benefits. Minimum requirements: Five (5) years experience as superintendent in full charge of poured-in-place, self-perform concrete construction for multi-level structures. This includes forming, placing, and finishing with company labor as distinguished from sub-contractors. Experience with hot and cold weather concrete. Must have demonstrated a history of estimating and delivering on time and on budget projects. Computer skills required are, Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, and PDF viewer/Bluebeam. Prefer at least one year in a supervisory role (can be non-HSE related), and experience with the craft and work activities to be performed on the project (i.e.: electrical, welding, crane, and equipment operation, rigging, etc.). Capable of providing HSE management for small to midsize projects (≤250 employees). Ability to manage HSE teams of three or less. Thorough understanding of construction work practices. Excellent written and verbal communication (includes use of proper grammar, spelling, etc.). Ability to foster compromise that meets the needs of operations while maintaining compliance with policy. Advanced knowledge of behavior-based safety and human performance initiatives. Ability to positively motivate others and establish a positive and professional rapport with all employees, other site personnel and customers. The General Construction Superintendent is a project role supporting the Curlew Basin Restart construction program. The incumbent will be a key member of the construction management team, reporting directly to the Construction Manager. This role serves as the Owner's on-site representative, ensuring construction is performed in alignment with the Project Execution Plan, schedule, budget, and quality standards. Essential Functions Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination of all on-site construction activities to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and site procedures. Coordinate and oversee construction activities across mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation scopes involving multiple contractors and work fronts. Manage interfaces between contractors, disciplines, and work packages to support efficient execution and minimize conflicts. Ensure construction sequencing aligns with the critical path schedule and supports commissioning and operational readiness. Serve as the primary field-level decision-maker for constructability, execution challenges, and issue resolution. Provide strong leadership and technical oversight of mechanical construction activities, including refurbishment, installation, and alignment of major process equipment and systems. Commercial Construction Superintendent Job Description: A Superintendent directs the work flow of the project on site consistent with the project schedule and HITT safety and quality standards.
