Basic Qualifications

Superintendents maintain a full-time on-site presence at the Project Site to guarantee our commitment to building the right way and by the most cost-effective, schedule-conscious means possible. They are responsible for implementing and enforcing Butler-Cohen's safety culture on the project site, as well as continuous field supervision, coordination, completion of the Work, and site management. Other tasks include but are not limited to organization and coordination of Subcontractors, keeping cost records on Work performed and materials supplied, controlling costs in materials and wages, and exercising control over the rate of construction progress to ensure completion of the Project within the Project Schedule; inspecting or observing the Work to enforce conformity to the Contract Documents; and supervising trades, subcontractors, clerical staff, and other personnel employed in the construction of the Project.
Education Requirements
8-10+ years of construction management experience, OR a combination of a BA/BS in a construction-related field plus construction management experience totaling 10+ years
Must have run at least one job of $5-10 million value or greater ($10-20 million preferred)
Preferred experience in ground-up new construction or heavy renovation projects, whether in a fully operational facility or not

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, and four years experience conducting engineering inspections, surveying, construction and/or engineering; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
* Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
* Work is performed in a standard office environment and in the field.
* Subject to sitting, standing, walking on uneven terrain, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
* Exposure to variable weather conditions, general construction hazards, heavy equipment, hazardous chemicals, and infectious diseases is involved.
