    Primary function of this position is to ensure proper management of the assigned dispatch coordinators in the management of company assets for the safe and efficient movement of freight.? This would also include the management of approved outside Carriers.?? ?The position requires professional communications, computer and presentation skills.? ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: The Transportation Supervisor manages the daily work of the assigned dispatch to plan, execute, monitor and manage a component of assigned drivers/equipment and implement customer plans, routes, schedules, and to pick up or deliver freight.? The Transportation Supervisor coordinates the assigned dispatchers for the efficient and timely entry of all company and customer related data into the company transportation software and/or related software in the transportation department.? Works closely with company Load Planners and outside Carriers and ensures assigned dispatchers execute the efficient Load Plan models to ensure that the customer?s needs are being met including the communication of essential information of pick up and delivery information to the customer, carriers, and drivers. Ensures the assigned dispatchers update the transportation software database files with customer, EDI, carrier, vehicle, driver information, and all other relevant information. Ensures that all accident and incidents regarding driver injury, equipment, and driver safety concerns are reported to the Human Resource, Driver Supervisor, Transportation Manager and Safety Department. Ensures the proper training of all assigned dispatchers in the assigned responsibilities.? Ensures all department required forms and documents are completed in a timely basis. Responsible for the management of dispatch accountability as it relates to DOT compliance, operations, equipment usage, company policies and the discipline of the same for the assigned work group.?? Responsible for monitoring and obtaining KPI and Productivity goals as established by the SCM Dispatch Manager and determined by company ownership for the assigned work group.?? Follows all workplace processes and standards in support of the ISO-9001 Quality certification program.? Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises the assigned Transportation Coordinators. Responsibilities include: planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and assisting in disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.?
