Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Provides physics services related to the planning and delivery of therapeutic radiation treatment in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. Provides technical leadership including clinical set-up expertise to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists. Performs quality assurance checks according to regulatory requirements and industry standards for all department equipment. Serves as a mentor and team lead for staff medical physicists. Reports to the Manager for Radiation Physics.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Masters of Science in Medical Physics, or related discipline.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five years of clinical experience as a medical physicist in a radiation therapy department.
