Ensures transportation vehicles are scheduled for proper maintenance and repairs in conjunction with the Automotive Equipment Mechanic Reviews information to reduce cost of controllable expenses. * Responsible for receiving records of departures and arrivals, as well as mileage for all trips away from NEFSH; reviews daily mileage traveled within hospital grounds. * Assists in writing/recommending policies and procedures, interprets and administers policies as directed. Maintains current information of NEFSH policies and procedures and processes routine items within established guidelines. Serves on various committees in addition to meeting with other disciplines regarding transportation * Orders supplies monthly form Warehouse after checking stock levels to reduce cost of controllable expenses. Completes purchase requisitions for specialized or adaptive equipment for resident transportation needs. Prepares Requisition and maintains inventory of supplies, forms and equipment for the department. * Performs other duties as assigned.
