The average employee age for supervisors is 46 years. The supervisor workforce reached a whopping 681,027 in 2020!

Among supervisors, we discovered that 42.3% of them are women, while 50.8% are men. The most common race/ethnicity among supervisors is White, which makes up 65.9% of all supervisors. Comparatively, there are 17.2% of the Hispanic or Latino ethnicity and 10.9% of the Black or African American ethnicity. Supervisors are also more likely to work at private companies in comparison to public companies. Taking it a step further, supervisors are more likely to find a job in the retail industry.

From where do we know all information about supervisor demographics? We analyzed 426,301 supervisors resumes to find out what the average demographics are for the job position. Just to be clear, by demographics we mean the study of population-based factors like age, race, and sex. On top of scouring through resumes, we also took note of job proposals from employers and Census Bureau data. And guess what? We found some pretty interesting information.
