We're hiring an Operations Supervisor to help drive our continued success! Here are the daily responsibilities of an Operations Supervisor: Responsibility for daily and overall operations of the aircraft maintenance department, to include: safety, schedules, personnel and quality. Encourage and promote a safe work environment by supervising a safety/security program which includes operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, and general housekeeping; perform safety/security audits and address discrepancies. Responsible for coordinating unscheduled aircraft maintenance and work performed on site or at another fixed location. Supervise the performance of maintenance and ensure work is performed in accordance with Repair Station Manual, Quality Manual, Site Operating Procedures and FARs. Perform supervisory responsibilities for assigned employees and area(s), which include but not limited to: Time keeping - ensure employee hours are accurate, track attendance, approve timecards, time off requests Performance management Identify opportunities for professional development and training Support and make personnel decisions around hiring, disciplinary issues, salary adjustments Administer team related policies & procedures. May be required to support UMT, including, for example, coordination of tooling and parts, scheduling personnel, and aircraft return-to-service. Coordinate technical shop floor issues, such as: engineering, specialized tooling requirements, etc. Facilitate meetings with all departments & shops. Identify and communicate best practices & champion continuous improvement initiatives. Customer service mindset and approach with communications (verbal & written) and when needing to defuse situations with internal and external customers. Here is what is required to succeed: Minimum of 3 years experience performing aircraft heavy/line maintenance. Minimum of 2 years leadership / supervisory / lead experience - preferably within aircraft maintenance. Possess an A&P license or otherwise appropriately certificated under FAR part 65. Working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, for example: part 91, 121, 135, and 145 Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance inspection programs for jet aircraft Working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations as they apply to workplace, safety and environmental aspects of aircraft maintenance operations. You have planning and organization skills necessary to plan, prioritize and coordinate workload of assigned employees within a multiple project setting. Intermediate computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based applications used to manage the maintenance work. The Role The Superintendent, Water Treatment Plant is responsible for fostering effective relationships within the Maintenance team and across departments, managing contractors and suppliers, maintaining well fields and water balance, overseeing laboratory operations, and ensuring accurate updates in SAP. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and team-building skills, along with proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of water/wastewater treatment standards and regulations, are essential. The Superintendent manages the safe operations of both water treatment plants, shaft clarifier and other site infrastructure and produce water to the required standard that will protect our environmental permit and ensure the construction and shaft sinking activities are not impacted. The role will be supervise 4 water treatment plant supervisors as well as 3 laboratory technicians. This position is located at the Hermosa mine site located near Patagonia, AZ Accountabilities * Safety and Sustainability by eliminating serious injuries, maintaining environmental permit compliance, and managing operational risks. This includes leading hazard identification activities (with emphasis on PL4) through LSED and workplace interactions and actively monitoring outfalls to guarantee compliance. * Operational Excellence by maximizing WTP2 throughput while meeting APP quality standards, implementing MOS plans. * Systems Improvement through OPEX and Capex optimization, service contract management, plant control and automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include implementing defect elimination processes, enhancing process monitoring for water quality, and delivering cost-saving initiatives. * Success is measured by zero serious injuries, zero reportable environmental events, achievement of water discharge and training targets, completion of projects, identification and closure of defects, and deployment of MOS plans. Qualifications & Experience * Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, environmental Science, or related degree OR equivalent job-related work experience to total 9 years * A minimum of 5 years of managing Water Tereatment Plant operations or related experience. * Must have all regulator licensing within the state of Arizona * Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and piping systems required * understanding of water/wastewater treatment operations * Preferred to have ADEQ Operator Certificate for Grade 1 Water Treatment Plant; or must have ability to qualify for certificate (requires examination including treatment technologies, system maintenance, regulatory protocols, safety, mathematics, and general system maintenance). * Fluent communication skill and understand English, written read and spoken * Microsoft Office South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
