Instruct and provide oversight to Warehouse Associates in the proper execution of all established quality, safety and sanitation practices of warehouse operations. Holds self and team accountable on general sanitation and food safety practices. Collaborate with Shift Manager in the development of employee performance development plans (PDPs); Coach, mentor and guide Associates in the execution of PDPs; Utilize progressive coaching and counseling concepts according to established policies and procedures to provide continuous feedback on performance, increase employee retention and improve employee relations. Leads a team of hourly personnel through effective coaching and other performance management methods to ensure performance is being met. Helps prepare and attend daily Shift Start-Up Meetings to share daily goals and results with the team. Monitor and Post performance reports. Use discretion and judgment to conduct a variety of Safety, Quality, Shrink and Operational audits and encourage a sense of responsibility and ownership in the results of these audits in Associates. Conduct accident investigations according to company guidelines and use judgment and discretion to make findings and document them. Manage to set KPI's: Safety, Retention, Productivity, Budget and Quality (Shrink). Ensure shift time and attendance tools are kept up to date. Ensure the employee schedule is up to date. Accountable to a budgeted labor $ allowance for assigned department(s). Ensure that decisions made throughout the shift, day, and week support attainment of said budgetary goals. * Responsible for successful onboarding, training and retention of New Hires.
