    Our Senior Branch Auditors are focused on the sales practices of each individual advisor and the books and records requirements of each office to ensure adherence to compliance with all applicable regulations. The Senior Branch Auditor will consult with branch managers, advisors, and support staff and provide direction on maintaining branch offices in accordance with federal and state regulations, FINRA and other SRO regulations and LPL Financial policies and procedures. This is a hybrid office based position in our Tempe, Arizona office with the requirement for travel and a proximity to a regional airport location. Responsibilities: Responsible for independently performing all functions of branch examination, including thorough evaluation of branch activities, to proactively determine whether a branch office is in compliance with regulatory requirements , escalate risk and use sound judgement to know when to "ask the next question" as potential risk areas are found and to assess/monitor compliance with company policies and procedures as well as applicable federal and state laws and regulations (may be onsite or virtual depending on the needs of the business). Conduct virtual and/or in-person consultations with branch manager, advisors, and support staff. Responsible for producing quality audit letters and work-papers that thoroughly document the required testing; ability to work and make independent decisions, under pressure on multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines. Use all company-provided tools and systems required to perform thorough audit and document findings in detail. Accountable for planning and preparation of pre-audit material, scheduling of exams, travel arrangements, and managing associated expenses. Collaborate with peers and management to streamline processes and create efficiencies for the department. Assist with the training and mentorship of Branch Auditors who are newer to the role. Lead large and more complex branch examinations, including those that require multiple Branch Auditors. What are we looking for? The Fee Unit is responsible for administering miscellaneous fees collected by the Department, including Public Utility Administration fees, Prepaid Wireless charges, Retail Delivery Fees, Motor Vehicle Daily Rental fees, Prearranged Ride fees and Oil and Gas Production Fees. This unit processes and aggregates the information received from external sources, administers the amount of fees due, and works with stakeholders in several funds and other agencies within the State of Colorado to meet informational and funding needs.     What is the opportunity? The Branch Inspection Program is one pillar of the IMBD Central Compliance team responsible for reviewing for compliance with FINRA Rules 3110 and 3120, NFA Rule 2-9, MSRB Rule G-27, and various internal Firm policies and procedures. The Program reviews for compliance across four broker-dealers within the RBC umbrella: RBC Capital Markets LLC (encompasses both retail and institutional businesses), RBC CMA Ltd., City National Securities, Inc., and CNR Securities, LLC (latter two herein, "CNB broker-dealers"). This team may also participate in special projects within the Central Compliance team and contribute to its overall reporting. This is a remote opportunity open to hiring in Florida or surrounding states, or Colorado or surrounding states. What will you do? Branch Inspections: * Utilizing both on-site and virtual inspections, the Examiner is expected to complete numerous inspections per year of various Firm locations across the Wealth Management and Capital Markets divisions of RBCCM, LLC and CNB broker-dealers. This includes traveling by air and/or car to certain locations sporadically throughout the month. * Conduct virtual/on-site inspections to detect instances of policy violations in a variety of areas, which include, but are not limited to, information barriers, off-channel communications, safeguarding of information, conflicts of interest, privacy incidents, recordkeeping, etc. * Lead discussions, either in-person or virtually, with applicable branch or location personnel, summarize reviews in a written final report, maintain appropriate documentation to support reviews and findings/issues, and escalate any areas where concerns were noted. The final report will be distributed to business stakeholders, inclusive of senior management, and may require presentations by the examiner. * Contribute/generate ideas for enhancements to the Program by leveraging industry research, holding discussions with LOB Compliance Advisory teams, and other methods. * Responsible for training offshore examiners, and new examiners, on branch inspection policies, procedures, practices, and business lines across Wealth Management, Capital Markets, and CNB broker-dealers. * Review work performed by offshore examiners, to verify accuracy and completion, and to assist in the planning of their on-site and virtual inspections. * Lead and collaborate with Remote Examiners dispersed across various time zones to complete virtual inspections. Central Compliance and FINRA Pilot Program Reporting * Contribute content updates to branch questionnaires and inspection review scripts for the on-site and virtual programs and action the updates where necessary. * Assist in the maintenance of required periodic risk assessment outputs to determine if a location (brick-and-mortar, non-registered location, secondary residence, and RSL) is eligible for a remote, on-site, and/or unannounced inspection. * Organize risk assessment inputs from various stakeholders (i.e., Securities Registration team, Employees Disclosures Group, Compliance Advisory teams, and 1LOD stakeholders) and apply the utilization of such to models as directed. * Participate in the 2025 internal build of the new registrations surveillance system to ensure branch team attributes are incorporated, which will assist with future inspection tracking and reporting. * Assists in the development of IMBD Central Compliance reporting to demonstrate branch inspection progress, findings, relevant Securities Registrations and Insurance metrics, and trend analyses to be shared with senior stakeholders. Special Projects: * Willing to assist with special projects as they arise. The Taxation Division promotes voluntary compliance with all tax laws through education, assistance and customer service. A Tax Examiner reviews tax returns for accuracy and completeness, ensures the tax return can be processed as filed, resolves errors and contacts taxpayers to obtain any missing information. Furthermore, Tax Examiners can be responsible for analyzing accounting files, issuing refunds or bills, calculating penalty and interest, collecting delinquent taxes, handling taxpayer complaints, adjusting for discrepancies and working with other taxing authorities such as the Internal Revenue Service, local municipalities or agencies in another state. What We Do The Income Tax Section is responsible for processing all income (individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary) and severance tax returns, PTC rebates and issuing the associated refunds and bills. The Section applies the necessary statutes pertaining to the tax programs that our group administers. The Section also resolves disputes that might result from a reduced refund, tax delinquency or non-filer assessment. This can include adjustments of tax, penalty, penalty-interest, and/or interest. The Section verifies incoming returns and applications for accuracy and completeness. Credits and subtractions are reviewed as well. Typical Day as a Tax Examiner III The purpose of this position is to supervise Tax Examiner I and IIs who review returns and applications, issue assessments and approve refunds and rebates for income and severance tax returns and property tax credit applications using third party data, returns/applications, policies, procedures, rules and standards to determine compliance with filing requirements. The tax data is used by the Department of Revenue for account management, statistical analysis, fraud detection, tax audit, and compliance efforts. Set performance goals and project deadlines that align with the section's goals. Delegate work to employees, track progress and provide constructive feedback throughout projects and job duty assignments. This is a remote position that is primarily tasked with performing work duties via flex-place (aka telework, work-from-home arrangements) with infrequent on-site visits with client groups, including to the position address at 2829 W Howard Place. Branch Inspections: Utilizing both on-site and virtual inspections, the Examiner is expected to complete numerous inspections per year of various Firm locations across the Wealth Management and Capital Markets divisions of RBCCM, LLC and CNB broker-dealers. This includes traveling by air and/or car to certain locations sporadically throughout the month. Conduct virtual/on-site inspections to detect instances of policy violations in a variety of areas, which include, but are not limited to, information barriers, off-channel communications, safeguarding of information, conflicts of interest, privacy incidents, recordkeeping, etc. Lead discussions, either in-person or virtually, with applicable branch or location personnel, summarize reviews in a written final report, maintain appropriate documentation to support reviews and findings/issues, and escalate any areas where concerns were noted. The final report will be distributed to business stakeholders, inclusive of senior management, and may require presentations by the examiner. Contribute/generate ideas for enhancements to the Program by leveraging industry research, holding discussions with LOB Compliance Advisory teams, and other methods. Responsible for training offshore examiners, and new examiners, on branch inspection policies, procedures, practices, and business lines across Wealth Management, Capital Markets, and CNB broker-dealers. Review work performed by offshore examiners, to verify accuracy and completion, and to assist in the planning of their on-site and virtual inspections. Lead and collaborate with Remote Examiners dispersed across various time zones to complete virtual inspections. Central Compliance and FINRA Pilot Program Reporting Contribute content updates to branch questionnaires and inspection review scripts for the on-site and virtual programs and action the updates where necessary. Assist in the maintenance of required periodic risk assessment outputs to determine if a location (brick-and-mortar, non-registered location, secondary residence, and RSL) is eligible for a remote, on-site, and/or unannounced inspection. Organize risk assessment inputs from various stakeholders (i.e., Securities Registration team, Employees Disclosures Group, Compliance Advisory teams, and 1LOD stakeholders) and apply the utilization of such to models as directed. Participate in the 2025 internal build of the new registrations surveillance system to ensure branch team attributes are incorporated, which will assist with future inspection tracking and reporting. Assists in the development of IMBD Central Compliance reporting to demonstrate branch inspection progress, findings, relevant Securities Registrations and Insurance metrics, and trend analyses to be shared with senior stakeholders. Special Projects: Willing to assist with special projects as they arise. Examples include, but are not limited to, relevant investigations, complaints, escalations, Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM), etc. What do you need to succeed?
