The role is responsible for implementing Lean Manufacturing strategies in the planning, inbound logistics, storage and to ensure completion and delivery on time with a quality level that meets or beats the customer's expectation. Also responsible for reducing and managing inventory levels and improving operational efficiency. This includes the definition of material needs and budget recommendations to support plant operations. Responsibilities WHAT YOU'LL DO Achieve operational efficiency through the management of all planning, inbound logistics receiving warehousing, and material movement. Develop and maintain processes that expose defects or process gaps within or that affect Supply Chain activities. Drive improvement activities to eliminate all areas of waste based upon data and information collected. Work with functional areas to explain the impact their process deficiencies have upon the Supply Chain and monitor the functional areas' progress in resolving the deficiency. Design and manage the plant processes required to effectively and efficiently flow material from receipt to the point of use. Work with the plant ME Manager to ensure that proper material handling equipment is planned for, and capital spending is appropriated. Develop and maintain an effective process for the scheduling of the plant's fabrication and subassembly departments.
