Supervise a Buyer and coordinate workload allocation.
Build a culture of accuracy, urgency, and follow-through within the team.
Coach junior supply chain talent on best practices, system usage, and vendor management.

Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

Job Summary
The Lead Supply Chain Planner is a key member of Amtrak's Supply Chain organization. This role ensures that supply meets customer demand by maintaining optimal inventory levels, developing and implementing contingency plans, and analyzing and resolving critical supply chain gaps. The planner is responsible for strategic supply planning initiatives focused on inventory optimization, including improving fill rates and inventory turns. This position collaborates with production, procurement, and upstream suppliers to reduce costs and achieve optimal inventory levels. Essential Functions
* Inventory Planning Leadership: Manage centralized inventory planning functions to align with Amtrak's operational and financial objectives.
* Program Implementation: Develop and implement inventory planning programs, policies, and procedures to improve material availability and minimize corporate cash investments in inventory and related assets.
* SAP & Field Support: Lead support efforts for SAP users and provide assistance to field employees to ensure customer satisfaction.

Role Overview
The Site Supply Chain Lead will be part of the Manufacturing Technical Operations team responsible for leading Supply Chain planning, inclusive of Production Planning & Scheduling, Materials Planning, and Batch Logistics, within a personalized cell therapy-manufacturing site. This individual will partner with the plant leadership team, various Technical Operations and Quality functions to support both clinical and commercial manufacturing operations, in accordance with cGMP requirements, and company policies & procedures.
The position requires proven leadership and expertise conducting in-depth supply/capacity planning, with the ability to optimize and balance production schedules, inventory coverages, and key site operational resources to meet production slots and patient demand, while providing optimal service levels, cost adherence and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, lead and oversee the tactical and operational production plans for the site, in close collaboration with key cross-functional site stakeholders, and in alignment with the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) forecast

Oversee execution of the site detailed production schedule in close collaboration with Manufacturing Operations

Here's what you need:

* Currently enrolled upcoming Senior or recent graduate (most recent semester) in a Supply Chain, Logistics or Operational Business concentration
* Have analytical capability
* Ability to communicate all facets of the business
* Be well organized with attention to detail
* Advanced experience in MS office, Access Database experience is a plus
* Ability to develop & deliver effective presentations

* Profiling & Picking Optimization
* Labor Management (tracking & reporting)
* Velocity Analysis
