This role will supports a team-based material organization. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including materials planning, total quality management, procurement, supplier quality assurance, finance, materials systems, customer service, etc. The incumbents may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal customers and suppliers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Responsibilities:
Risk and Opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams
Developing and executing supply chain strategies and plans
Creating, managing, and executing material program strategy and the material program plan
Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
Developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and bases of estimates
Monitoring and proactively addressing performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS
Developing and tracking budgets, targets, working capital, initiating and maintaining accurate sales forecasts, short-range outlooks (SRO), material EACs, sales and operating Plans and Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 6 years of related professional experience
Experience with supply chain and related systems, procurement, production control/material planning, receiving, cost estimating, logistics, and/or finance
Leading in an IPT environment
Experience with Supplier management and/or Subcontract management
Prior work experience developing & executing Risk/Opportunity plans to meet program goals
Preferred Qualifications:
Work experience in Supply Chain within the Aerospace Defense industry
Experience translating customer terms and conditions into supplier requirements and reviewing statements of work for completeness and conformance to program requirements

The Marshall Operations Systems, Services, and Integration (MOSSI) contract has an excellent opportunity for a person to leverage and enhance their technical and analytical skills to effectively procure services and materials for NASA Marshall Space Center's Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC). Work with the customer and MOSSI internal team to effectively analyze specifications, requirements, target cost, and required schedule
Perform analysis, assessments, and trade studies, to translate requirements into hardware and software specifications
Research and identify potential suppliers to meet requested bill of materials.
Create vendor specifications for service and/or material to include system, software, and hardware items. Review vendor quotes from multiple suppliers for technical specifications fulfillment, competitive pricing, and delivery schedule

Create and maintain an effective forecast
Develop and maintain schedules tracking all requested service or material acquisition, fulfillment, and delivery

Maintain accurate records of purchases in ServiceNow, contracts, and supplier communications

Responsibilities
