SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Sr. Supply Planner is responsible for leading the demand fulfillment and inventory planning efforts for Industrial Parts Depot, LLC. (IPD), a heavy engine aftermarket parts distribution company. The individual in this role will balance service levels, inventory and supply chain efficiency. Responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, planning and executing sourcing to these requirements, working with suppliers to coordinate the delivery of required inventory, managing suppliers to ensure material flow is delivered per schedule, taking inventory and lead times into account, and seeking ongoing process efficiencies. This position is responsible for achieving objectives while exhibiting Storm Industries Core Values in a very dynamic environment with Constantly changing market Situation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Regular Functions include:
Creates and executes a master SKU-level supply plan based on current demand forecasts.
Sets appropriate inventory targets (safety stock) based on demand variability and lead times.
Schedules purchases per plan, to meet schedules and ensures purchase orders are received in a timely manner.
Follows up, adjusts, and monitors the supply plan, to support the annual operating plan, ensuring supply plan is executed and sufficient components are available.
Leads the development of capacity planning to identify constraints, mitigate bottlenecks, and improve cost efficiency through better resource utilization.
Works cross functionally with Sales, Supply Base, Quality and Engineering to understand internal and customer requirements and to communicate progress to the supply plan.
Analyzes root causes of planning issues and takes corrective actions for improvement.Seeks opportunities to realize efficiencies within the supply planning process.
Develops supply plan summaries including inventory and production data, to be reviewed by SIOP team on monthly basis. Leads meetings to share information.
Provides timely order status & customer quote analysis to Customer Service, Sales and Shipping teams through daily reports, verbally or through reporting system in place.
Anticipates possible obstacles in meeting customer orders. Follows up and implements countermeasures as needed prior to it becoming a problem.
Reviews and expedites shortages, with follow up as required, under area of responsibility.
Reviews and delays or cancels existing purchase orders as needed.
Ensures SIOP metrics are met, including On Time Delivery, Inventory Turns, Supplier Quality, and seeks to improve these metrics.
Analyzes inventory levels across different sites and creates a plan to balance/ reshuffle to optimize coverage and service level.
Provides structured reporting system for inventory shorts with extensive root cause analysis
Obtains and incorporates feedback on performance to plan.
Other duties as required.
Periodic Functions include:
Creates and coordinates purchase orders and expedite orders with Suppliers as needed.
Prioritizes incoming material for any needed testing and expedites any urgent material through the receiving/inspection process.
Travel may be required (approx. up to 10%).

This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in operations/supply chain management, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in material planning and forecast utilization, including extensive analytical work and knowledge of MRP.
Experience with ERP Systems and planning software (Ex: SAP, Oracle, SIQ, etc.)
Exposure to requirements for Asia/Middle East and international rules with respect to export of inventory

Supply Chain and Quality Management: 60%
Responsible for On-Time and On-Quality Delivery of Supplier propulsion systems: Create and manage short-term recovery plans.
Responsible for the interface with primary Supplier: Program, Industrial, Supply Chain, and Quality Executives and Senior Management.

Monitor Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliers in the region as necessary: Delivery & Quality performance, Capital expenditure and ramp-up action checks, recovery plan and Quality Notification eradication and if applicable completion of shop floor GEMBA.
Support the Industrial Quarterly Review (IQR) process and capacity assessments, proactively participate, anticipate planning / execution risks or opportunities and drive timely action closure.
Manage multiple, complex Supplier Quality Improvement Projects with AIRBUS and Supplier senior management.
Supplier and Stakeholder Management: 15%
Collaborate with responsible AIRBUS employees across multiple functional organizations in Europe and Propulsion Systems suppliers to secure the On-Time and On-Quality Delivery of propulsion systems.
Work with responsible propulsion systems suppliers to ensure they are implementing the necessary corrective and preventative action plans in a timely manner in support of Airbus targets.
Consolidate and maintain an outlook of key industrial, supply chain, and quality Risks & Opportunities and drive mitigation plans with the support of the responsible propulsion suppliers.
Organize and/or support business and executive reviews (Program Review Meetings, Industrial Quality Reviews, Assessments, etc.) at AIRBUS and Supplier locations.
Ensure timely communication to internal stakeholders of responsible propulsion suppliers status and risks per above assessments.

Supplier is in full compliance with all cascaded requirements in support of Airbus Production Organization Approval with any actions from audits and assessments closed in required timescales.
Lead and close complex, cross-functional improvement projects on-time and with expected benefits achieved.
Timely revision and update of Airbus & Supplier RASCI / Governance documents as needed.
Documented improvement in supply chain meeting contractual obligations.
Feed strategic / decisions to achieve propulsion systems and aircraft deliveries in-line with AIRBUS Multi-Functional Team strategy and AIRBUS annual production goals.
Secure Supplier annual performance improvements in accordance with agreed target letters.

About the role:
Source and procure complex, specialized goods and services. Owns contractual management for the supplier. Responsible for subcontract sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration and closeout phases. Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as legal, contracts, finance, planning, operations, program management, engineering, and quality. As part of a cross-functional team, candidate will monitor and manage schedule, cost, technical and quality performance of suppliers in support of US Government programs. Subcontract Specialists will interface with supplier leadership teams to motivate and drive excellence in performance of contractual requirements.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for subcontract sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration and closeout phases
Manages supplier performance throughout the subcontracting lifecycle
Ensures compliance with all FAR, DFARS and public law requirements, as well as company policies and procedures
Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations
Cultivates and maintains strong working relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders
Contributes to Program Risk and Opportunity management
Self-Starter with a bias toward action and problem solving
Strong written and verbal communicator
Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with at least 3 years' experience OR 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience must be in Subcontracts Management, Contracts management, Proposal Price/Cost Analysis, Procurement, Program or Project management, Advanced Planning/MRP, and/or Strategic Sourcing
Experience with SAP/ MRP or related business application software.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree
Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFARS.
Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations.
Supplier selection/management experience on US Government contract(s).
Subcontracting experience with aircraft production and/or sustainment programs.
Experience working within a government approved purchasing system.
Experience working in foreign subcontracts and/or ITAR/EAR experience.
Familiarity with NGAS Subcontracting terms and conditions.
Primary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
