Supply Chain Coordinators are individuals tasked, as the title itself implies, with the oversight, organization, and management of incoming and outcoming trades within a company or an institution.
They also negotiate the buying and selling of the materials and products, are in charge of documenting them, and often must transport, deliver, or redistribute them elsewhere. The person serving in this position will need to cooperate with sales and finance departments, too, and often need to report on and include them in the ongoing negotiations and conversations.
Generally, a Supply Chain Coordinator will need to have obtained at least a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, have some years of experience in the industry or a similar position, and may even need to have some sort of professional certification. It may be necessary to know and understand certain health, business, and safety regulations, requirements, and laws.
