These supply chains will need to be created in partnership with the engineering teams to help guide the product development as it scales and evolves with technological enhancement and control of quality. The GSM will be accountable for Supplier Relationship Management and costs of the product, with the ability to communicate these to leadership, and work to provide parallel or alternative paths to manufacturing for improvements in cost and demand. Challenges you will own Working within a hardware enabled, software company has its challenges regarding establishing supplier relationships for low volume take-up for early adoption of high technology products. The GSM will establish these relationships and manage the requirements in collaboration with our engineering team. In addition, due to the nature of our hardware being an enabler platform for software development, build requirements and demand can be sporadic and therefore our supply chains have to be agile and adaptive to respond to short term requests and continual evolution of the design. Cost management of bill of material is critical and it is the responsibility of the GSM to drive cost out of the supply chain whilst also working with engineering to identify design for manufacture opportunities.
