Supply Chain Optimization: Lead efforts to develop, implement, and manage alternate material replenishment methods (e.g., consignment, Kanban, vendor-managed) to increase inventory turns year-over-year while supporting 100% customer on-time delivery and lead-time reduction; oversee the development of visual standard work for major processes and reduce transactions required to maintain materials and information flows.
Supplier Management: Oversee the resolution of issues affecting on-time delivery and quality from suppliers, coordinating meetings to keep Value Stream and Site management informed; monitor supplier scrap, handle in-house rejects of purchased parts, and coordinate technical communications to obtain timely corrective actions; support new product introduction procurement requirements.
Operational Excellence: Manage site tactical procurement activities, including all assigned personnel and data integrity in the system; support Value Stream Managers' efforts to establish point-of-use inventory, ARMs, Make or Buy decisions, and other initiatives; work with the Strategic Procurement Director to ensure company-wide policies and initiatives are followed.
Continuous Improvement: Champion lean concepts such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Leadership, and 5S; implement a pull system/Kanban approach to component flow; develop supplier quality systems and performance metrics to drive accountability and resolve problems quickly using creative, outside-the-box thinking.
