Leveraging best practices, provide direction to optimize the success, value and efficiency of the Takeda-supplier relationship. Effectively manage open and/or escalated issues to timely and effective resolution Work closely with Procurement, Therapeutic Areas, Business Partners, CPO and Study teams to review and drive sourcing strategies and to define and implement commercial constructs supporting business requirements. Ensure supplier innovation and continuous improvement initiatives align with business objectives and sourcing strategies Act as a role model and coach for Takeda functions involved in day-to-day management of the supplier, driving a partnership mindset and culture. Ensure compliance with all applicable internal policies and procedures, regulations; support inspection readiness of all regulated activities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BS/BA required; advanced technical degree preferred. 10 or more years of applicable drug development operations experience, global experience preferred. As we prepare for our first global commercial launch, we are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Vice President, Supply Chain to design and lead a global supply chain organization supporting both clinical and commercial operations. Reporting to the Chief Technical & Quality Officer (CTO/CQO), the VP, Supply Chain will be accountable for establishing Scholar Rock's end-to-end supply chain model, including clinical supply planning, commercial launch readiness, CDMO oversight, logistics and distribution strategy, packaging and labeling execution, and global S&OP. This is a newly created leadership role with the opportunity to build foundational systems, teams, and external partnerships for global scale.Position Responsibilities: Strategic Supply Chain Leadership: Develop and implement an integrated global supply chain strategy across clinical and commercial programs. Master's degree preferred. + 12+ years of experience, preferred, with deep experience in ESG, sustainability, sourcing, supply chain or risk management, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity preferred + Familiarity with global supply chain operations and third-party risk management + Strong knowledge of responsible sourcing / ethical trade, ESG frameworks, supplier engagement platforms, ESG data platforms, and regulatory trends + Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior leadership + Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills + A sophisticated and deep understanding of today's key global ESG issues and landscape, and the roles of the private, nonprofit and public sectors both in the U.S. and abroad + Analytic thinker and ability to problem-solve and balance multiple projects and priorities + Proven ability to inspire, collaborate and manage internal relationships and cultivate partnerships across functions and regions + Demonstrated experience influencing without formal authority to accomplish company-wide goals + Strong business and financial acumen **_What is expected of you and others at this level_** + Provides leadership to managers and experienced professional staff;
