The Operations Manager is responsible for the success of assigned functions within the distribution center, ensuring all key metrics are met, supporting company policies, procedures and safety while creating an inclusive high performance culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure all Safety policies and procedures are adhered to and enforced at all times
Lead and manage a team of front line managers in the daily planning and execution of daily operations of assigned functional areas within the Distribution Center
Manage team performance to meet or exceed established cost, productivity, quality and service targets
Plan, monitor, appraise, and manage subordinate performance results
Models the Company's values so to influence others to perform in an aligned manner
Develop subordinate leadership team through mentoring, coaching and training so to enable a global perspective as well as promoting optimal results within the multifunctions of the operation
Provide necessary communication and motivation to staff; monitor individual performance via observation and review of various productivity metrics; counsel and discipline as necessary
Manage staffing, supply and equipment needs based on forecasted volumes
and ensure that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed
Lead the creation and sustainment of a culture of continuous process improvement and associate engagement
Conduct regularly scheduled functional area reviews/reporting and provide follow-up
Troubleshoot and provide solutions for issues of a moderate to complex scope
Execute assigned operational responsibilities to achieve assigned KPIs while staying within budget parameters. React to variances and approve plans to get back on plan
Develop and/or manage KPIs to ensure performance, service, quality and cost goals are achieved
Ensure work instructions are documented and current for all functional areas and escalate any changes to SOP to appropriate partner. Receive and approve all related process changes to improve efficiencies, safety, etc.
Ensure all training/cross-training plans are achieved on time as scheduled
Ensure that a climate of openness, trust and respect exists for each Associate
Establish courses of action for self and others to ensure that work objectives are approached with a sense of urgency, attacked in a standardized manner, and consistent with building goals and objectives
Lead in ways that ensure the work environment is maintained in accordance with 5S and Safety requirements
Collaborate and partner cross-functionally at all levels within the DC and across divisions of the company, including communication with corporate partners, external vendor partners and resources

Job Qualifications - Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Operations or Operations Management preferred
Master's Degree in Business or Operations Management a plus

Oversees the entire lifecycle of materials: including working with general contractors (“GCs”) on their material and service procurement schedules for critical steel and other construction materials needed.
Oversee the following GC-managed activities:
On-site logistics, equipment and materials
Site Material management and delivery systems
Tracking equipment and materials usage including entry to job site, unloading receipt, inventory, inspection, storage management, shortage, and damage reporting
Management of on-time deliveries to job site including inventory updates/delivery records
Management of onsite storage facilities (and offsite facilities, as needed)
Establishment of laydown areas, management of inventory supply and withdrawals
Develop and implement supply chain strategies: balancing supply chain strategies across Fleet-procured vs. G-procured materials taking into consideration quality, cost, and supply chain continuity including:
Working with Fleet equipment teams, TPMs, and schedulers as well as Fleet GC(s) to plan material and equipment deliveries
Identifying gaps between Fleet-procured and G-procured materials
Manage supplier relationships: establish and maintain relationships with key fleet construction partners, oversee existing G material scope/requirements to ensure materials are delivered on time and within specifications.
Coordinate logistics activities: oversee the schedule and logistics of incoming and outgoing materials between Fleet-procured and GC-procured to align with production schedules efficiently.
Ensure compliance: ensure all material management activities comply with industry standards and environmental laws and regulations.
Education, Professional Certification, and License

5+ years of supply chain, logistics, and/or warehouse management experience
Experience:
5 years' relevant experience with complex construction programs
5-7 years of data center experience including management of GC engagements and OFCI management

Strategic Supply Chain Leadership

Commissary & Production Coordination

Meta is seeking an Supply Chain Operations Engineer to join the Infrastructure Supply Chain and Engineering team to focus on operations optimization for all of Meta's infrastructure (Servers, Data Centers, Network) supply chain. This role will focus on optimizing supply chain operations at various levels to balance order management, delivery, flexibility, supply capacity and cost, from base components through manufacturing to finished goods, in an environment of continual product introduction, directly managing billions of investment annually. We will do this primarily by building software and mathematical optimization models, and automated tracking of key performance metrics to drive desired strategic and operational outcomes. The team is uniquely positioned to develop and optimize our infrastructure supply chain operations at the most strategic levels with company level impact. This role is very cross-functional and provides an opportunity to work with our supply chain partners and a variety of engineering and business teams to power the rapid growth of Meta's products. This role will help to ensure optimal deployment and operation of our infrastructure from both a cost and technology perspective, with millions of servers, gigawatt of data center capacity, and cutting edge technology including advanced AI.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
* 6+ years of experience in operations research, industrial engineering, or related field
* 3+ years of experience in coding/scripting languages such as Python, R, Java, C, C++, PHP
* 3+ years of experience in supply chain management - planning, manufacturing, operations, inventory, etc
* Experience working with distributed systems at scale
* Experience in infrastructure operations and technical infrastructure knowledge
* Experience in supply chain operations optimization

Responsibilities
* Own infrastructure supply chain operations for Meta (as part of Meta Platforms, Inc. overall capacity delivery plan): including servers, network, and data center equipment from components through manufacturing to finished goods
* Design improvements to software systems to optimize supply chain operations efficiency and accuracy, partner with software engineers to implement and contribute code yourself
* Develop and analyze business, manufacturing, and logistics data and scenarios to solve complex problems in manufacturing operations and hardware logistics and delivery

Location and Travel:
Work location is flexible to Seattle, WA, Denver, CO, or Alexandria, VA.

Expected Salary Range: $180,000 - $225,000 + Bonus

Qualifications Basic • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. • At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology
Preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in creating requirement specifications based on Architecture/Design /Detailing of Processes
• At least 3 years of experience in Requirement gathering & elicitation, defining use cases/work flows, Documenting/Analyzing process flows.
• At least 3 years of experience in software development life cycle.
• At least 3 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Experience in Retail domain (Merchandising, Supply Chain, Planning, Allocation)
