Position Responsibilities Leadership & Department Management Provide daily leadership, direction, and performance management for a team of logistics, shipping/receiving, and mailroom staff. Resolve discrepancies, damages, or vendor issues escalated by staff Operational Oversight - Outbound Logistics Manage preparation, packaging, labeling, and documentation of outbound shipments. Oversee scheduling of carrier pickups and maintain strong relationships with FedEx, UPS, DHL, freight providers, and other vendors. Monitor shipment tracking and ensure timely delivery confirmation Mailroom Operations Management Supervise daily mail collection, sorting, distribution, and outgoing mail preparation. Ensure proper postage application, mailing methods, and compliance with USPS requirements. Oversee staff assisting employees with professional and authorized personal shipments. Coordinate transport to local postal facilities. Warehouse & Inventory Control: Warehouse Management Oversee fulfillment of internal inventory requests, staging, and delivery of materials. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.). Maintain adequate stock of shipping supplies and materials. Ensure warehouse facility is open, secured, clean, and organized. Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulations (DOT, OSHA, IATA, etc.). Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and audit-ready records for all logistics activities. Lead safety training, incident reporting, and corrective action processes. Conduct periodic audits of procedures, equipment, and facility conditions. Process Improvement & Cross-Department Collaboration Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
