Substantial practical knowledge and understanding of products, manufacturing processes, and/or specialty areas in quality or operations support, including applicable information systems and reports (e.g. MRP or other planning/execution systems). General knowledge of business and government regulations (e.g. manufacturing specifications, FAA, safety).

Job Summary:
The Global Director Supply Chain Management is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain process of global sourcing and supplier quality. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. The Director works closely with suppliers and internal teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives. By leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practices, the Director of SCM aims to drive continuous improvement, enhance operational performance, and support Dodge's growth and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Supply Chain Management:
Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that supports the company's short-term and long-term business goals, including growth, profitability, and customer service objectives.
Analyze market trends, customer demands, competitor activities, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for supply chain optimization and innovation.
Mitigate potential supply chain risks.
Supply Chain Operations Management:
Oversee and optimize all aspects of global sourcing and supplier quality.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices within the supply chain, including sustainability, safety, and ethical standards.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, develop, and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, including global category managers, global and regional supplier quality managers/engineers, regional sourcing managers, analysts, and specialists.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
Promote knowledge sharing, cross-training, and interdepartmental collaboration to improve supply chain agility.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management) preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive management experience in supply chain management and/or operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Experience managing multi-national teams.
Proven record of accomplishment in building and developing high-performing teams.
Ability to lead and optimize complex supply chain operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data-driven insights to drive decision-making.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Proficient in the use of supply chain management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analysis tools.
Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in supply chain management.
Ability to think strategically, identify and mitigate risks, and align the supply chain with the organization's business objectives.
Strong project management and change management skills, with the ability to lead and implement process improvements.
Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
Familiarity with quality management principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, Lean).
Physical Demands:
Extended periods of sitting at a workstation.
Speaking in person and over the telephone or online and the ability to hear, comprehend, and document detailed information from others.
Ability to type, reach, and grasp.
Intermittent standing and walking within the office environment.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing for extended periods over the phone and in person.
Ability to work in manufacturing sites, including foundries, steel mills, machine shops, forging shops, assembly centers, etc.
Ability to travel and stay in foreign countries for limited periods of time.
Available to travel up to 50% of the time and have a valid passport.
Essential Job Functions:

Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monitor supply chain performance, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and optimization.
Implement and manage supply chain technologies, software, and tools (e.g., historical buy and pricing, ERP systems) to enhance visibility, efficiency, and decision-making.
Analyze supply chain performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, supplier PPM, to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable service.
Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for the supply chain team, providing coaching, training, and opportunities for advancement.
Implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and engage top supply chain talent, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and expertise.
Serve as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to the executive leadership team, providing insights and recommendations to drive the organization's success.

Provide strategic and tactical leadership over all procurement policies, strategies, and systems in order to meet the long-term business goals of the Tantalum Capacitor division. This person will oversee all activities related to procurement, sourcing, compliance, and quality control, while also setting global KPIs for the business unit. Direct all KAVX (Kyocera-AVX) global purchasing activities for the Tantalum division.

Manage all aspects of the supply chain, including supplier performance and onboarding,
accountability, quality and delivery of raw materials and finished goods, cost reductions,
and inventory management.
Communicate and manage corporate strategies worldwide for materials and equipment.

release.
Determine the methodology to maximize the efficiency and cost of procurement for
