    Supply chain specialist job in Richmond, IN

    Transcendia is a leader in custom engineered materials for critical product components in a wide range of markets and applications. The company provides deep material science expertise, outstanding customer service through broad geographic coverage and trusted product reliability. Job Summary: Responsible for the complete cycle of material flow, from the purchase and control of raw materials, to the planning, scheduling and control of the finished product. Job Duties: Plan and release production orders to meet customer demand and forecast requirements. Maintain inventory accuracy, including obsolete management, rework, and aged inventory. Monitor demand forecasts and track material availability and allocation. Plan and maintain min/max inventory levels to ensure service requirements are met Analyze inventory performance to improve inventory turns, reduce waste, and optimize customer service. Schedule work orders and communicate delivery commitments across the organization. Coordinate supply chain activities with sales, marketing, finance, production, and quality control teams. Assist with tactical purchasing, material requirements planning (MRP), inventory control, warehousing, and receiving functions. Communicate with sales regarding aging inventory and other inventory-related issues. Review excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory monthly and recommend disposition actions. Collaborate with management to achieve company goals, execute strategies, and improve profitability. Manage 3rd party vendor subcontract process Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager. Job Qualifications: At least five years progressive experience in management of materials, preferably in graphics, lamination and/or plastic industry; Must have a high level of organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task Must possess good problem-solving skills Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees and vendors Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Must be dedicated to continuous improvement Willingness to work as team member or independently Transcendia is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all candidates for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law
