**Job Summary:**
The Director of Supply Chain is accountable and responsible for developing and implementing commodity strategies that deliver the lowest total cost, reduce inventory and maximize customer satisfaction through best in class on time delivery, lead time and quality metrics.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Develop and lead the execution of global supply chain strategies that support objectives for material cost reduction, supplier On Time Delivery (OTD), inventory reduction, supplier quality and supplier lead times, including actions to rationalize the supply base, drive increased sourcing from low cost sources, leverage the material spend with other Crane business units, implement supplier agreements and reduce the administrative cost of the Supply Chain functions.
+ Manage site tactical procurement activities, receiving, stockroom and shipping departments including all assigned personnel and the integrity of all relevant data in the system.
+ Oversee the resolution of all issues affecting on time delivery and quality of product from our suppliers; Coordinate meetings and publish minutes to keep Value Stream and Site management informed of status on any issues that may cause delays in shipments.
+ Lead efforts to develop, implement and manage alternate material replenishment methods (consignment, kanban, vendor managed) that increase turns year over year while supporting 100% customer on-time delivery and lead-time reduction.
+ Support new product introduction procurement requirements.
+ Oversee development of visual standard work for all major processes and ensure compliance of same.
+ Oversee development, implementation, and support of processes that continually reduce the number of transactions required to maintain and move materials and information flows.
+ Support Value Stream Managers' efforts to establish "point of use" inventory, ARMs, Make or Buy decisions and other initiatives.
+ Monitor supplier scrap, being fully responsible for all valid in house rejects of purchased parts; Work with supplier base to reduce supplier generated scrap; Coordinate all technical communications with suppliers and obtain corrective actions in a timely manner.
+ Support Strategic Procurement Director ensuring that overall company policies and procedures are followed and that company-wide initiatives are supported.
+ Build a highly skilled, highly regarded and motivated customer focused team.
+ Guide and direct all assigned personnel ensuring that company policy and work rules are adhered to and activities are in compliance with the Bargaining Unit Agreement.
+ Any other task assigned by supervisor or management.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Experience: 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment; 5+ years of management experience
+ Direct experience implementing lean concepts (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Leadership, 5S, etc.); Prior experience implementing a pull system/Kanban approach to component flow; Extensive sourcing experience
+ Knowledge: Working knowledge of eSourcing tools; Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Oracle (or other) MRP/ERP system

In this role you will:
Make sure drums and other containers are clean and properly labeled before shipping.
Conducts vehicle inspections to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the trucks and railcars before loading and unloading.
Ensure that all shipments have the documented security seals before accepting an incoming load and sending off a loaded shipment.
Conducts pallet inspections; must reject load if does not meet specifications.
Ensures that all shipping paperwork is accurate and corresponds with handheld scanner results before shipping product.
Ensure that all instructions on the Bill of Ladings are carried out in each shipment.
Accurately checks all incoming raw materials and supplies before signing receiving slip.
Must ensure that all incoming ingredients are on the Approved Ingredient List and are appropriately labeled with Kosher emblems.
Cooperates with management and office personnel in accounting for production and shipments and helps take inventory as needed.
Ensure a safe working environment.
Investigate and document accidents thoroughly and timely (as soon as possible on the same day it occurs.)
Prevents accidents by recognizing physical and behavioral hazards and taking corrective action.
Work closely with the Human Resources department in promoting safety and helps instruct during safety meetings.
Directs shipping and receiving in an effective manner to obtain or exceed cost expectations, without sacrificing quality or safety.
Coordinates shipping and receiving activities with floor persons, quality control personnel and forklift drivers.
Make sure shipments are accurate before loading onto trucks.
Make suggestions to processing supervisors on scheduling crew to improve efficiency.
Must follow OSHA required regulations when driving a forklift.
May have to load/unload trucks to keep the shipping schedules on time.
Work closely with truck drivers.
Other duties as required.
What we are looking for:

Radiant's unique, practical approach to nuclear development utilizes modern software engineering to rapidly achieve safe, factory-built microreactors that leverage existing, well-qualified materials. Radiant is seeking a proactive and strategic Procurement Professional to manage the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of components, materials, and services necessary for our innovative micro-reactor systems. This role is crucial in building and maintaining a resilient, cost-effective, and reliable supply base. You will work closely alongside our Supplier Development Engineers (SDEs), Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams to ensure suppliers meet not only stringent quality and technical requirements but also commercial and delivery expectations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong negotiation skills, and understands the complexities of sourcing within regulated industries.
Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, capacity, and strategic fit, in collaboration with SDE and Engineering teams.
Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiation ns for pricing, payment terms, lead times, and other key contract terms to achieve optimal value for Radiant.
Contract Management: Develop, review, and manage supplier agreements, including Master Supply Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Purchase Order terms and conditions.
Purchase Order Management: Oversee the complete purchase order lifecycle, from requisition review and PO placement to tracking, expediting, and closure, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with key suppliers, acting as a primary point of contact for contractual and commercial matters.
Cost Analysis & Optimization: Analyze market trends, supplier quotations, and total cost of ownership to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive cost reduction initiatives.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate commercial and supply chain risks, including supplier financial health, capacity constraints, and geopolitical factors.
Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key procurement metrics, such as on-time delivery, cost savings, purchase price variance, and supplier responsiveness. Collaborate with SDEs on holistic supplier performance scorecards.

Required:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
3-8 years of relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within manufacturing or technology sectors.
Proven track record of successful negotiation and contract management.
Strong understanding of procurement processes (e.g., RFQ/RFP, PO management, supplier evaluation).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and standard office software
Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to supplier locations (up to 30%).
Preferred:
Experience in the nuclear energy industry or working with nuclear codes, standards, and regulations.
