SUMMARY Vice President, Supply Chain will support the selling function and will carry out a variety of tasks and functions in support of the product line. The position will be responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels, inventory mix, and overall efficiency and profitability of the product line. Vice President, Supply Chain will monitor the facilities, information systems and laboratory operations in order to ensure continued production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Review and evaluation of inventories. Forecast, plan, and provide for product line and customer needs and demands. Ensure inventory turnover is maximized. Identify and communicate to management trading opportunities in the marketplace. Initiate and conclude purchase transactions while ensuring acceptable return on investment and minimizing the occurrence of quality rejections. Identify repair candidates in existing inventory and initiate accurate inputs in accordance with customer and technical specifications. Monitor and ensure the accuracy of existing inventory. Establish competitive pricing levels Coordinate and communicate with the sales force to secure the sale. Liaise with the appropriate personnel within the logistics chain to organize and expedite inventory shipments, purchase orders and repair orders. Find operational efficiencies that will assist us in meeting our customer demand. Maintain an information systems infrastructure conducive to business in accordance with regulatory agencies Ensure facility and equipment performance in accordance with regulatory agencies Run lab operations to ensure proper functioning of said facilities. Develop surface technology capabilities product line All other duties as assigned.

The Network & Telecom Sourcing Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department with focus on procurement activities in coordination with the Corporate Services team. The overall objective of this role is to drive the seamless delivery of goods and services requested by company personnel in support of the company's business.
Responsibilities:


Manage a team of Sourcing Analysts to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) Oversee multiple cross functional teams in developing and executing sourcing, Supplier Management strategies, and complex Contract negotiations Manage development of standards, policies, targets, and category strategies including segmentation of categories and commodities as well as rationalize with global perspective Set strategic direction with suppliers, established Supplier qualification criteria, develop contract requirements and master agreements, model total cost of ownership, and negotiate contracts Liaise with global leaders to ensure strategic programs are well represented in the regions and countries Manage all deliverables to an established timeline, service delivery level, and savings target as well as drive diversity spend within commodity category Engage business units and suppliers to drive Citigroup value propositions and build strategic Supplier relationships leveraging Supplier involvement and integrating the supply chain Assist the Chief Procurement Officer with the development of overall procurement strategies, planning, and team leadership, and recommend new work procedures and processes of complex procurements Liaise with global leads to ensure business representation and regional members defined sourcing strategies, interface with Citi business leaders, and oversee cross regional products Apply fundamental knowledge of sourcing processes to develop complex sourcing programs, supervise the sourcing process, and prioritize new complex sourcing programs Act as backup to sourcing Senior Group Manager when necessary Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Job Description:

The VP of Supply Chain Management will report to the CEO of the company and is responsible for optimizing process and strategy relating to all facets of the supply chain. This role will have responsibility for Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Demand Planning and Scheduling, Inventory Control and Warehouse Operations, among others. Direct reports will include: two Warehouse Operations Managers, one Financial Analyst and one Purchasing Supervisor.

General

• Oversees supply chain functions such as: demand planning/forecasting and management, operational planning, inventory planning and management, materials management, capacity planning, strategic sourcing, supplier management, logistics management, and warehouse management.
• Implements supply chain and logistics methodologies that add value and bring the company up to “best in class” level of supply chain management resulting in greater efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction, and overall team performance.
• Improves margins, controls overheads and minimizes variances via efficient management, control, and review of all assigned resources: human, material, information technology, facilities and equipment.
• Balances all aspects of the supply chain such as safety, price, delivery, quality, lead time, inventory, customer satisfaction and the overall supplier relationship.
• Develops and implements systems to support key supply chain initiatives to improve business efficiencies and reduce the total cost of supply chain management. Recommends interim solutions to legacy systems for critical business processes that require immediate corrective action before the ultimate solution is implemented.

Strategic Sourcing

Responsible for creating and driving sourcing strategies for direct and indirect spend categories.

• Identify opportunities to drive supplier savings

• Develop sourcing strategies for each major spend category, including opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, surety of supply improvement and operational efficiency
• Lead sourcing projects to support category strategies, including supplier identification, RFI/RFQ preparation and analysis, negotiation, supplier contract award and implementation
• Ensuring effective integration of new acquisitions onto existing supplier programs to achieve operational synergies
• Developing effective spend reporting and management analysis.
• Manage supplier relationships, including development of strategic partnerships, conducting periodic supplier performance reviews, and collaborating with suppliers to drive mutual benefits.

Purchasing

Manage purchasing process and team, ensuring timely and accurate execution of purchase orders against demand plan. Responsible for creating value by driving continuous improvement of purchasing processes across the business, and for ensuring consistent practices and governance.

Inventory Management

Develop accurate demand plan, based on forecasted starts, construction schedule and lead times. Refine replenishment system algorithm as needed to optimize inventory levels around service levels and inventory carrying cost. Ensure processes are in place to promote inventory accuracy.

Warehouse Operations

Manage the five warehouse locations, ensuring safe, productive, cost-effective, on-time and accurate performance in warehouse operations. Responsible for driving continuous improvement across all facets of warehouse performance, including the implementation of KPIs and management reporting, optimizing put-away and picking, and improving accuracy of inventory counting. Develop long-term plan for warehouse capacity, including identification of new warehouse facilities to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields
• Proven working experience leading overall Supply Chain – including procurement, sourcing, warehouse operations, inventory management and purchasing
• Experience implementing best in-class supply chain management, inventory management, forecasting, production scheduling, and/or strategic sourcing and solutions in large distribution organizations.
• Proven track record as a data-driven manager who is proficient in the development and tracking of key performance metrics.
• Knowledge of database and application software, concepts, and structures, as well as ERP implementation. Strong PC application skills including experience with the full complement of Microsoft Office Software.
• Strong quantitative and analytical competency
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel; Microsoft BI; SQL or other analytical tools
• Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
• Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
• Ability to scale best practices to current state and roll-up sleeves to make solutions work
• Strong influencing, negotiating, presentation and communication skills practiced routinely at senior level both internally and externally.
