As a Lab Support Specialist at our Allentown R&D site, you'll support more than 100 laboratories by managing chemical shipments, coordinating hazardous waste, and keeping materials and supplies organized. It's hands-on work that helps drive real innovation across our business lines. RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist with day-to-day lab support for our research and development campus, helping teams focus on science by keeping laboratory operations organized and on schedule. * Support the site's shipping and receiving, including regulated chemical shipments under DOT and IATA guidelines (training provided). * Maintain inventory of lab supplies, chemicals, and facility materials, keeping stockrooms safe, clean, and well-organized so they're easy to navigate. * Participate in hazardous waste collection and documentation in line with RCRA and site EHS standards. * Collaborate with colleagues to track inventory, complete data entry, and update records in site systems. * Follow safety procedures, maintain accurate records, and contribute to improvement efforts that make lab operations safer and more effective. * Assist with general site logistics, equipment moves, and other lab-support projects as needed. REQUIREMENTS * Associate degree preferred; combination of education and hands-on experience in lab, logistics, or warehouse environments considered. * 1 - 3 years of experience in hazardous waste handling, chemical shipping, or materials/inventory management. * Solid organizational skills and attention to detail when managing regulated materials and documentation. * Strong communication and teamwork skills with a focus on reliable, customer-oriented support. * Familiarity with MS Office; ERP or inventory system experience is a plus. * DOT/IATA, RCRA, or forklift certifications are helpful but not required (training is available). WORK ENVIRONMENT * Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM * Work model: Onsite, full-time (40 hours per week). * Team environment: Collaborative group of four. We currently have an anticipated opening for an Autistic Educational Support Staff at our new Polk Academy Location, located at: 630 Interchange Road Kresgeville, PA 18058 POSITION GOAL Under the direction of the program director, assist certified teacher in reinforcing instruction to individuals or small groups of students and is responsible for behavior-analytic interventions to reduce problem solving behavior, remediation of skill deficits, as well as monitoring and reporting student progress. This position will also perform a variety of clerical duties in support of the academic program and other related duties as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support and maintain classroom policies. Tutor individuals or small groups of students, reinforcing instruction as directed by the teacher. Assist in the administering and scoring a variety of tests according to student performance and behavior. Perform routine clerical duties; operate classroom and office equipment including computers, copy machines, and other equipment. Provide support to the teacher by setting up work areas, displays and exhibits, operating audio-visual equipment, operating educational training equipment and distributing and collecting paper and supplies. Assist students by providing proper examples, emotional support, a friendly attitude, and general guidance. Use contingencies of reinforcement (e.g., conditioned/unconditioned reinforcement, continuous/intermittent schedules) as directed by the teacher/mental health staff in the room.
