A support service coordinator is responsible for managing staff that attend to customer's complaints and help resolve client's issues. As a support service coordinator, you are in charge of recruiting and training support service staff, managing their scheduling, supervising their daily interaction with customers, and answering any questions and complaints they have. Also, you will assist your staff with answering calls and emails to resolve client's complaints and reporting unresolved issues to the manager for necessary processing. It is also expected of you to create new ways to improve relationships with clients.

You must be good with people, multitask, persuade, and you must have compassion for people. You will also need communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills. Most support service coordinators have a bachelor's degree in business, psychology, social work, or any related course. As a support service coordinator, you will earn $40,482 on an average per year.

What's a day at work look like for a support services coordinator?

The pandemic has re-defined what it even means to have a "day at work". I'm writing this response from my home office. Work in public health jobs can involve so many kinds of roles and responsibilities. The only thing I can guarantee is that the successful person seeking a career in public will be constantly curious and constantly learning. There are many public health jobs that are clearly defined with a set of protocols and software and office time that is scripted. Many more public health jobs require learning something new about community members, community partners, the system (including the department/organization one works for), the latest science and political realities that enable and constrain public health work. A day at work will involve continuously learning and seeking to understand new connections.
