TITLE: Technology Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
REPORTS TO: Manager, Information Technology
The position will provide quality telephone, e-mail, and direct first-level support to the IS client community to assist in resolution of problems related to software, hardware, and security. In addition, the incumbent should have in-depth knowledge of desktop workstations, printers, and related-equipment, Microsoft Windows-based operating systems and Microsoft Office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Installs, maintains, tests, and trains advisors and staff in software
· Receives users request, responds and diagnoses problem in person, over the phone and via chat.
· Supports users in setting up new hardware systems including workstations, printers and other mobile devices
· Proactively reports incidents outside of Agency capabilities to home office IT, and ensure that all incidents are handled in a timely manner
· Regularly communicates progress towards departmental goals
· Distributes and informs users about new procedures, policies and technologies established to help them be in accordance with compliance as well as using the tools to the maximum potential to help them in their business
· Produces reports specific to Help Desk request, such as the user calls by date, response times, status of calls (resolved, unresolved) and others as required.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
· A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Technology Specialist/Help Desk and be proficient using the Microsoft Office software products, specifically Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
· Two-year degree/technical preferred or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
· Ability to be highly organized and display excellent oral and written communications skills.
· Effective communication skills and must have excellent listening and customer service skills demonstrated by dealing courteously, logically and effectively with all clients requesting assistance.
· Ability to work as an integral part of a work team and get along and cooperate with co-workers.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; process work rapidly, set priorities, work under pressure, effectively manage multiple task, and follow through with assigned tasks with limited supervision.
· Willingness to accept a work schedule with hourly demands that will vary as departmental workload fluctuates. Ability to work extra hours if needed to complete assignments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Visual and manual dexterity are extremely important for this position as is mobility to walk safely in oilfields, along proposed improvement corridors, to view potentially impacted areas, and overall safely traverse irregular terrain. Visual acuity to safely drive at night and in a variety of weather conditions is required.
The job presents work hazards that are customary in upstream oil & gas production sites. Incumbent will be subject to performing sedentary to light work, exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, reach overhead for items, stoop, bend, and twist while working. Other physical activities include ability to utilize fingers to feel and grasp objects or work devices as needed and manual dexterity in the use of the hands, seeing, talking, hearing, performing repetitive motions and standing for long periods of time. Incumbent must be able to drive a vehicle, usually a car or light truck, and get into and out of the vehicle on a regular basis. Requirements include walking on uneven ground and over or around obstacles or structures such as pipes or low rails and walls, and up and down stairs on a regular basis.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Department Laboratory Course Support
Assist faculty in developing new instructional activities and demonstrations by acting as a resource for materials and equipment utilization.
Responsible for cleanliness and routine maintenance of all laboratory and storage facilities including participating in year-end lab cleanup.
Operate scientific equipment and provide faculty and students with assistance in interpreting results.
Organize and schedule the preparation and provision of chemical materials, supplies, and technical and non-technical equipment for laboratory courses.
Prepare solutions, chemicals, and materials for instructional laboratory activities.
Provide technical assistance and support to students and faculty on individual experiments/projects.
Using general knowledge of chemistry and biochemistry, recognize commonalities between courses and assist with developing systems for optimizing facilities and equipment use.
When directed, assist in preparing materials needed for faculty research.
Assign work and provide routine guidance to student assistants on basic laboratory support tasks and demonstrate proper procedures as needed.
Department Laboratory Maintenance & Supplies
Assist in the procurement process for chemicals/materials, supplies, and equipment required for laboratory and/or courses by identifying needs, obtaining quotes, and submitting requests for approval.
Assist with routine maintenance on laboratory, stockroom, and scientific equipment.

Report safety or compliance concerns to the Chemical Hygiene Officer or designated safety personnel. Maintain required documentation for department.
Collaborate with the Chemical Hygiene Officer and NSME Lab Safety Coordinator to coordinate hazardous-waste container and labeling needs, maintain lab inventory and storage compliance, support equipment installations, and report facility repairs that involve safety considerations.

The Hybrid Immunization Specialist (IS) plays a pivotal role in driving healthcare provider (HCP) engagement and vaccine uptake across Adult and Pediatric customers. The IS educates HCPs and their office staff on disease prevention and GSK's vaccine portfolio, effectively communicating clinical value and supporting vaccination goals. The role requires strong customer engagement skills, scientific fluency, and the ability to translate clinical data into meaningful conversations that drive immunization impact. The ISH will report to the Vaccine Sales Director collaborate closely with field and account leadership roles (e.g., Vaccine Account Manager, Vaccine Account Director, Vaccine Account Lead, Vaccine Sales Lead, National Account Lead) to ensure coordinated and compliant execution.
Responsibilities:
Drive HCP Demand and Communicate Product Value
Engage HCPs across pediatric, internal medicine, family practice and health departments to communicate the clinical value and benefits of GSK vaccines using approved materials.
Build and maintain deep expertise in vaccine therapeutic areas, GSK products and competitors
Support peer-to-peer educational programs, conventions, and speaker events to enhance vaccine awareness and recommendation
Customer Engagement and Pull through
Tailor engagement strategies based on local practice dynamics and HCP/account needs
Ensure pull through across pediatric and adult segments for both private and public vaccination, including stocking, in-office vaccination and/or a strong referral process
Partner with Vaccine Account Managers to drive product pull through within Public Awardees, Health Systems and other contracted accounts, following customer engagement guidelines as provided by customers or Account Managers
Influence the uptake of publicly funded vaccines by engaging with HCPs/staff and health department & VFC program managers, and develop knowledge of their immunization goals and funding cycles
Support accounts with their ordering and inventory management needs as appropriate
Work with Account managers to appropriately educate/communicate HCPs/staff on HS policies
Identify and address barriers to contract execution and utilization, providing actionable feedback
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Barrier Resolution
Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Market Access, Medical Affairs, Account Teams) to ensure aligned and compliant execution.
Help identify and address barriers to vaccine access, reimbursement or workflow integration
Provide actionable field insights to inform local strategy, optimize resources, and enhance execution.
Operational Excellence and Compliance
Uphold GSK's standards for compliant, high-quality customer engagement in line with company policies and healthcare regulations.
Participate in business reviews and team huddles to assess progress and identify opportunities
Maintain accurate CRM documentation and activity records per compliance and field standards
Success Metrics & Key Performance indicators:

The US annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $119,250 to $198,750. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role.
