THE POSITION AND JOB SUMMARY
This position will support the Sacramento, Woodland, Placerville, or Grass Valley office, but the employee's home office will be determined by their proximity to the closest office. The majority of meetings will be conducted virtually, and any travel will be reimbursed at the standard IRS mileage reimbursement rate. This program provides participants with more flexibility and personal responsibility in choosing services and support through an annual budget. The Participant Choice Specialist (PCS) position includes training and support of Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) and our clients with the self-determination program (SDP). PCSs may be involved in outreach to the community, calculation of Individual Budget Certification and Calculation Tools (IBCCTs), providing resources to Service Coordinators (SCs), supporting SCs with client meetings regarding SDP, reviewing SDP spending plans, participating in the development of Individual Program Plans for clients, communicating with Financial Management Services (FMS) agencies, and any other tasks related to the self-determination program at ACRC.
