We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer (L3) to join our Run Support team. This role provides advanced technical expertise, incident resolution, and long-term application stability improvements. The L3 engineer acts as the final escalation point for critical issues, leads root cause analysis (RCA), and partners with Product and Development teams to ensure that defects (bugs) and feature requests (stories) are properly documented, prioritized, and delivered through Azure DevOps (ADO).

Key Responsibilities
Incident & Problem Management
Own resolution of high-severity and complex incidents escalated from L2.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Ensure adherence to SLAs for incident resolution and problem closure.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Tier 1 applications.
Bug & Story Management (Azure DevOps)
Collaborate with Product Owners to document, prioritize, and manage bugs and user stories in ADO.

Release & Change Support
Participate in release readiness activities, deployments, and post-release validations.
Validate bug fixes and story releases in lower environments before production rollout.
Support release pipelines by ensuring successful delivery of backlog items through ADO.
Leadership & Mentorship
Mentor L1 and L2 support engineers to improve technical depth and incident handling.
Share best practices for incident-to-bug/story conversion in ADO.
Advocate for customer and business impact during sprint planning and prioritization.

TRAINING:

LMS ADMINISTRATION

Upload and test learning content and other curricular materials to the LMS

Manage user access to the system including the API between RacePlanner and Cornerstone, bulk user uploads/deactivations, and password resets

Work with VP of Programming and Director of Professional Development to create curriculum tracks and assign training

Work with VP of Quality & Evaluation to collect and analyze data to assess training completion rates and other pertinent training metrics for councils and GOTRI as needed

Manage regular internal LMS reporting for GOTRI staff
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT:

Identify business and technical needs of employees and make recommendations about software requirements

Order computers, peripheral equipment, and software

Coordinate set up of computers with IT Vendor

Manage phone system for HQ including connecting the patch panels and programming extensions

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide customer service support (in person, via email or phone), which includes assisting customers in the selection and checkout of materials and orientation to the use of language facility equipment upon request from customers.
Provide support to staff and instructors with such administrative functions to include but not limited to copying support, typing, duplication of classroom materials such as audio and video tapes, training aids and classroom set up and tear down, arranging supplies and training aid support.
Schedule facilities and distance learning delivery to include monitoring the use of the computer lab/language lab.
Control and maintain an extensive inventory of materials, publications and equipment.
Generate reports on attendance, inventories and scheduling.
Install and configure devices such as scanners, printers, and keyboards upon consultation with local network administrators.
Provide expertise in Automated Visual (AV) technologies, general multi-media equipment, interactive whiteboards and touchscreens, language lab equipment, CD burners, scanners, satellite communications equipment, digital cameras and digital video cameras, video capture software and hardware utilities, and sound recording equipment and software.
Provide generalized instruction on the operation and use of such equipment on an ad hoc basis.
Provide expertise in the installation and use of office software, such as MS Office suite products, data management program, educational and foreign language software, particularly with the installation and use of foreign fonts.
Review and test software packages for potential use in projects and operations and maintain up to date knowledge of computer technology and recommend upgrades and new equipment as necessary.

This position serves as the centralized entry point and provides escalated troubleshooting for all technology related service requests and support related issues for technical concerns across the company.
Responsibilities also include assisting with account management, website and data tool maintenance/enhancement, and project management support.

Essential Job Functions
