Overall Responsibilities:
The Lock Desk Specialist is responsible for managing the daily interest rate lock process for all mortgage loan channels (e.g., Retail, Correspondent, Wholesale). This role ensures the accurate, timely, and compliant locking of interest rates to mitigate risk and maximize profitability for the company, serving as a critical liaison between the Capital Markets team, Sales team, Loan Officers and Operations staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Rate Lock Management:
Process, review and execute rate lock requests, relocks, extensions and modifications accurately and efficiently in the loan origination system
Ensure all rate locks adhere to company policies, investor guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Pricing and Communication:
Verify and confirm loan pricing, ensuring accurate loan-level price adjustments and other fees are applied.
Act as the primary point of contact for Loan Officers, Processors and Underwriters for all rate lock and pricing inquiries, providing excellent client service.
Data Integrity and Reporting:
Work closely with the rate sheet pricing team to ensure that loans are priced correctly in the loan origination system and physical rate sheets.
Maintain and update lock desk procedures and guidelines. Ensure all activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.
Run quality control of the lock pipeline to ensure no data inconsistencies, potential errors, and if found work, with the appropriate parties to resolve them promptly.
Ensure compliance with all agency and investor guidelines, policies, and procedures related to loan sales and securitization.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in the mortgage industry, specifically within a Lock Desk, Secondary Marketing, or Capital Markets function is preferred.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including phone calls, with the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex pricing and policy issues.
Knowledge: Strong understanding and appreciation of mathematical concepts.
Analytical Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-4 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

POSITION STATUS: Part time 10-month (August - June) REPORTS TO: Principal Responsible for the management of all aspects of Loyola High School's facilities and food service. These duties and the decision-making authority related to such assignments are as established in the working relationship with the president. PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (Technology):
-Coordinate and facilitate the efficient, effective, and appropriate use of technology hardware and services.
-Maintains local area network including, but not limited to, internet connections, performance metrics, printing services, software updates, and hardware functionality.
-Supports applications and enhances the technical skills of the school community as needed.
-Manages, administers, and delegates tasks, process, and procedures related to the student information system and related services including, but not limited to, student records management, class scheduling, academic calendar, data harvesting, and internal and external reporting.
-Manages and maintains the school bell system.
-Manages, maintains, and supports all classroom technology including but not limited to video displays, teacher laptops, and applicable software.
-Stays current with computer-based technologies and networks as well as emerging technology and software, especially in the area of education.
-Facilitates technology and software vendor relationships. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
-Ability to create, support, and maintain school processes and procedures.
-Basic understanding of building systems, including boiler heating systems.
-Excellent understanding of security design and protocols to manage and maintain a safe and secure school environment.
-Strong understanding of, and ability to resolve issues involving, technical infrastructure, networking and computers (primarily WIN and Chrome OS devices).
-Strong understanding of Google and Microsoft products as well as student information systems.
-Strong interpersonal skills and personal demeanor that motivates and manages 5 or more direct reports as well as many vendor relationships.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to develop timelines and meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail.
-Excellent organizational skills.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
-Knowledge of Ignatian spirituality and principles of Jesuit education.
-High enthusiasm for the mission of Loyola High School. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-Bachelor's Degree or 2-5 years of experience in related fields and/or school administration.
