The 1996 merger of Boston University Medical Center Hospital, Boston City Hospital and the Boston Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital to form the new Boston Medical Center helped solidify our clinical position in Boston.

In 1997 he was named the first Alexander Graham Bell Professor of Entrepreneurial Medicine.
