About the Role The Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) supports surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting surgeons and clinical staff. The Surgical Assistant will function as a first assistant during surgical incision, excision, repair of pathology, and wound closure throughout the perioperative period on procedures for which privileges have been granted.

Scrubs for surgical procedures and prepares the surgical field based upon the specific procedure and surgeon's preference. Performs duties adhering to stringent standards of aseptic techniques and in accordance with Operating Room and hospital policies and procedures.
