Certified Surgical Tech Full Time Days Position Summary Certified surgical technician providing intra-operative support. Assists the surgical team by acting as the primary scrub person who handles the instruments, supplies and equipment during surgical procedures. Maintains constant vigilance for the maintenance of the sterile field. Prepares operating rooms for surgery, using appropriate techniques. Provides technical services and assists in other areas as assigned and directed. Participates in department performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Call is required for this position - must reside within 30 minutes of facility. THE CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECH FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE. As a collaborative team member, the Surgical Technologist plays a key role during procedures and supports the overall workflow of the department, contributing to efficient operations, high-quality patient care, and a culture of safety and excellence in the operating room. Hourly Pay Rate: $24.00 - $35.40 Qualifications Education: * Requires a high school diploma or GED. * Must have graduated from a vocational program for Surgical Technicians or Technologist. * Three (3) years of on-the-job training experience may be accepted in place of completion of a vocational program. Experience: * Prefer three to five (3-5) years of experience with diverse surgical specialties. Certification/Licensure: * Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required. * Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English. * Requires specialized knowledge and skills in operating room practices. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills are utilized to enhance and encourage collaborative staff and community relationships. * Must be able to respond quickly and be familiar with operating procedures to have instruments ready for surgeons.
