About the Position
St. Luke's Surgical Center performs multi-subspecialty ophthalmic surgery. Reporting to the OR Supervisor, the surgical scrub technician's role and responsibility is to provide necessary and appropriate equipment, instruments and supplies during ophthalmic surgery with the surgeon, nurses and staff. As an instrument technician, the role is to clean and sterilize instruments in accordance with AAMI standards.
