Responsible for care of instruments/equipment during intra/postoperative phase; demonstrates critical thinking skills in relation to anticipating the perioperative needs of the surgeon and patient. 8. Completes operating room counts; follows proper procedure in the event of incorrect count; reports all discrepancies to RN and Surgeon and/or corrects immediately. 9. Completes all cases with minimal assistance and errors. 10. Applies knowledge of advanced surgical techniques and brings in new techniques based on scientific practice and AST. 11. Collaborates with other members of the nursing team to maintain equipment and supplies for surgical procedures. 12. Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with medical staff, employees from other departments, and co-workers. 13. Understands role and responsibility during Emergency Codes. 14.
