Required to work 4 hospitals in the Southside or Western Tidewater regions. Location and unit to be assigned based on greatest need.There are three region options.Must be within 75 miles and 90 minutes of all four hospitals in assigned region.
• Operational hours = 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 7 days per week
• Flexi - Hours: The team member must enter at least 48 hours of prescheduled time per calendarmonth.
• Facility supported: Members of the team are required to work assigned shifts in all units within the case management specialty. Required to work in 4 hospitals in the Southside or Western Tidewater regions.
• Operational hours = 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 7 days per week
• Flexi - Hours: The team member must self-schedule at least 48 hours of prescheduled time per calendar month in API. Of these prescheduled hours, 16 hours are to include availability to be scheduled on a weekend.

Education:

Certification/Licensure:

As an Inpatient Care Manager, responsible for the provision of medical social work services to patients receiving care in the hospital setting. Assesses the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situations, as well as disposition needs of each referred patient. Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team members, and community organizations, and uses strong advocacy skills to identify needs and resources in the hospital and community.
Develop and evaluate effective transition plans taking into consideration the client's diagnosis, prognosis course of treatment, past and present services, short-term and long-term goals, provider options, and/or available health care benefits as appropriate to the continuum of care. Position is sedentary with high amounts of stress. Incumbent is subject to shift work, rotating shift work, and uncommon tours of duty. Work requires use of the voice in vocal communications for periods of hours at a time. Voice must be clear, audible, and tone effective with words plainly spoken and understandable. Incumbent must be able to hear clearly and discern a variety of audible communications and signals simultaneously. Incumbent must be able to read critical information from multiple sources, including computer screen, fax, and written log quickly and accurately. The work is of an emergency nature and is emotionally stressful. Incumbent must possess manual dexterity sufficient to operate computer terminals/keyboards and related equipment and to maintain written logs.
Work involves occasional lifting of boxes and supplies up to weights of 50 pounds.
Working Conditions: The work is normally performed in a well-lighted and temperature controlled room. Noise levels are routinely high due to electronic equipment, telephones, radios, and other discussions ongoing in the performance of duties. The setting is typically confined and secure, and entrance and egress is controlled. Drives carriages in the Historic Area, taking visitors for scheduled rides. Drives carriages and wagons for special events and programs. Assists Livestock Husbanders in care and movement of sheep, cattle, poultry as assigned; other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Prepares horses for street work, including grooming, washing, checking hooves and condition of the shoes. Advises Head Coachman or Stable Operations Supervisor of any issues.
Assists with cleaning of harnesses and carriages daily as needed to meet the Foundation's standards.
Fits harnesses to horses in a safe and efficient manner; advises Supervisors of any worn or damaged parts that need replacing.
Within 1-4 months, learns to drive horse-drawn carriages. Drives carriages taking visitors for scheduled rides throughout Historic Area; drives for special programs and events as assigned.
Work toward earning Level 1 CAA certification.
Provides interpretation of transportation and movement in 18th-century Virginia, with emphasis on use of carriages and horses. Basic interpretation of roles of other livestock (cattle, sheep, poultry).
Monitor horses for illness, injury, shoe problems; report issues to the Supervisors, and assist in treating the animal as necessary.
When needed, help maintain pastures, fencing and watering devices.
When needed, drive trucks and trailers to feed and move livestock. Assist in basic maintenance of trucks, trailers, golf carts, mowers, and tractors.
Assist with special programs including giving tours of the stables to special guests as assigned.
Participates as an active member of a team and model the organization's personal/professional expectations.

Purpose of the Position
This position provides technical expertise and support on instrumentation and controls (I&C) for building HVAC systems, mechanical systems, energy generation, lighting systems, and distribution systems. This includes troubleshooting, diagnostics, installation, repairing, programming, commissioning, and related work on building automation and energy management systems (BAS/EMS) and I&C. The position is responsible for identifying, evaluating, implementing, and programming of new instrumentation and controls technologies; ensuring reliability, service, efficiency, and efficacy of existing BAS/EMS and I&C. Will support the HVAC shop as needed. Will work with Energy Manager to identify and implement energy initiatives with minimal impact to campus comfortability. Colloborate with multiple Facilities teams and IT Services to ensure BAS system is updated and upgrades are performed regularly.
This position serves as the organization's sole subject matter expert and holds responsibility for expert guidance and standards in Facilities Management.
Prepares material and labor cost data for renovation projects. Assist the Director in budget control. Works with outside contractors on contract work to inspect and give guidance on the university's specifications. Acts as project manager/contract administrator on all Controls Projects for in-house projects and work performed by contractors. Reviews and approves all project manuals [specifications] for Building Automation Systems. Writes scopes of work. Procurement of materials and supplies, using small purchase credit card and eVA.
