The Building People surveillance technician job description

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Grade 3 Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) with an active Top Secret Clearance for a facilities engineering program to support a federal Agency.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

+ Monitor cleared and un-cleared workers during designated phases of construction.

+ Inspect material, equipment and furnishings designated for use within Secure Areas of a construction site utilizing x-ray machines, metal detectors, visual or other approved method.

+ Read and analyze designs and blueprints and recognize the architect's intended use -- CSTs shall be capable of analyzing designs and structural complexities, which are intended to mask an ulterior purpose not wanted by the architect. The Contractor shall test CST candidates for this qualification and provide proof of expertise, to include prior work experience involving design analysis and familiarity with reading blueprints to determine architect's vision, prior to commencement of work.

+ Assist in the random selection of materials required for construction and installation in secure areas and areas contiguous to the secure space.

+ Must be open to specialized training and studying FBI policy, which will be included on the Training Roster, as referenced under paragraph 3, Contract Deliverables, of this Statement of Work.

+ Maintain detailed daily logs during their shift; logs are to be submitted to their supervisor who will review them for accuracy and present them to the SSM.

+ Utilize varied means of inspection to include, but not limited to, metal detectors, x-ray machines, On-Linear Junction Detectors, and visual/physical examination of materials for clandestine technical devices.

+ May partner with or be used in lieu of a Grade 3 Inspection Specialist, depending on the complexity of the work needed at a given site/time.

Qualifications and Education Required:

+ Active Top Secret Clearance

+ Three (3) - five (5) years of experience working in a security function directly related to the discipline required; a bachelor's degree in any field of study is preferred. Technical training or expertise may be required.

+ Completion of a recognized Construction Surveillance Course, such as the SE630, sponsored by Department of State

+ Have experience commensurate with the grade in at least one of the following areas of expertise:

─ Construction security surveillance.

─ Technical surveillance countermeasures.

─ Industrial or government security involving counterintelligence.

─ Construction quality assurance.

─ Hands-on supervisory construction experience.

+ Be knowledgeable of the principles of all construction disciplines, to include Civil, Architectural, and Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic Engineering.

+ Have knowledge of technical surveillance countermeasures, construction principles and devices used by hostile and friendly intelligence services for the purpose of clandestine surveillance.

+ Be able to effectively communicate in English, as well as be able to write detailed reports, analyses of problems, findings, and security situations requiring staff actions.

+ Be capable of independent decision - making, possess a high degree of individual initiative, and function with minimal supervision.

The Cardiac Surveillance Technician is a member of the heatlh care team under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The CST assists in the provision of care by continuous cardiac surveillance for telemetry patients. The CST provides indirect patient care by providing supportive functions to the nursing staff.
Essential Functions:

* Provides continuous cardiac surveillance for telemetry patients.
* Maintains effective communications and collaboration with physician, staff and responsible nurse.
* Maintain current knowledge and competency in rhythm and dysrhythmia identification.
* Compiles and records data for patient records and unit purposes.
* Maintains safety in use of all equipment.
* Teamwork - works cooperatively with co-workers and other departments for the benefit of the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

* Successfully completes EKG Arrhymia test with the grade> 90% overall and 100% lethal arrhythmias within ninty (90) days of hire.

Education

License, Certification, Registration

* Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required within 30 days of hire /transfer.

* Previous cardiac monitoring experience and/or successful completion of basic cardiac monitoring course.
