**Job Description:**
+ Lead and supervise field survey crews on various types of surveys including boundary, topographic, construction, and control surveys
+ Perform and verify survey computations such as traverse closures, level loops, and coordinate geometry
+ Operate and maintain survey equipment including total stations, GPS units, and data collectors
+ Document field notes, sketches, and digital data accurately for use in project deliverables and potential legal claims
+ Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including daily HSAP reviews and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards
+ Train and mentor junior crew members in field procedures and equipment use
+ Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements and resolve field issues
+ Monitor project budgets and timelines, applying cost control techniques as needed
+ Maintain records of timekeeping, expenses, and equipment usage
**Qualifications** :
+ 5+ years combined field and office experience including staff leadership and development
+ Surveying and/or civil engineering undergraduate education is a plus but not required.
+ SI or PS Certification is a plus, but not required.
+ Experience with the placement of right of ways, boundaries, utilities, planimetric features, etc.
+ Experience with ALTA/NSPS, Construction layout, boundary surveys, subdivision platting, legal description writing, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Trimble Business Center.
+ Drafting experience is a plus, but not required
+ Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
**Salary Range**
$25.00 - $35.00 an hour

Laser Scanning, Mapping and Surveying (Trimble) Coordinator
Cincinnati, OH
Summary: The Trimble coordinator is responsible for accurate layout and physical coordination of duct hanger points, sleeves, equipment points, and inserts as needed to maintain progress and productivity on all types of construction sites. The Trimble coordinator will also be responsible for scanning using the Trimble scanner and software.
Essential Functions including the following, but not limited to the below.
Lead by Example:
• Ability to operate a Trimble Robotic total station and X7 scanner without assistance
• Layout construction sites for installation requirements
• Follow the Trimble standard operating procedure (SOP} -Attached
• Back Check measurements and review against plans
• Manage and coordinate the use of the Trimble unit with a weekly Trimble schedule.
• Review Coordination Drawings for most efficient hanger layout and make adjustments as necessary
Build Lifelong Partnerships:
• Coordinate with VDC/BIM Manager to share point files & wall layouts
• Coordinate with foreman to confirm the scheduled use of the Trimble equipment
• When Trimble workload is low, join the coordination team to produce Installation Drawings with appropriate detail to facilitate construction.
• When Trimble & Coordination workload is low, work with estimating team to help facilitate takeoffs
• Communicate status/ issues regularly to Internal and External Customers.
• Weekly check-in meeting with coordination manager and communication with project coordinator's
Act with Integrity:
• Manage and coordinate the use of the Trimble scanner with Weekly Schedule
• Follow the Scanner SOP - Attached
Put People First:
• Work with team, provide recommendations on most productive way to layout a project area.
• Train up and coming future employees on the Trimble equipment and software.
Challenge the Ordinary:
• Provide feedback to the coordinators on lessoned learned and improvement
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Experience using Trimble Total Station and X7 scanner instruments and software is preferred
• Able to use the Trimble RealWorks scanner editing software
• Basic Knowledge of mechanical code & Duct Systems
• Basic understanding of construction plans
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong math skills
Physical Demands:
• Lifting - The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Working at heights
• Working in different weather environments
• Bending forward and down frequently
• Moving on hands and knees to mark points on floor or deck
Work Environment:
• Must be able to work alone
• Must be able to travel between site locations in Cincinnati, Columbus & Lexington
