PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Baker role is responsible for the baking, decorating and overall presentation of all Bakery products sold in the storefront. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Produce our entire line of baked goods: quality cakes, cupcakes, cookies, biscotti and any other production items as delegated by a manager Ensure exceptional product by following recipes, understanding prep procedures, and maintaining raw materials quality Make sure our baked goods are baked and decorated according to Carlo's Bakery product standards Keep up with pace of store and customer flow Avoid overproduction during slow business weeks Rotate product in freezer/walk-in using FIFO method Understand proper use of all equipment: ovens, mixers, sheeters, scales, walk-in, and freezer Maintain a clean production area Clean and sanitize all equipment, work areas, containers and utensils Be quick, accurate and organized Respect your customers' and co-workers' space and time Prepare special orders to ensure customer specifications are met Make sure customers receive exceptional customer service at all times Ensure operations are in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards Greet, assist, provide efficient service and thank guests in a prompt, courteous, friendly and business-like manner in order to promote the company image as a service-oriented operation Guide FOH staff on product questions and offer assistance in finding or suggesting product selection to customers Take specialty cake orders as requested by customers (e.g., special occasion cakes, party platters, etc.) Enter all specialty cake sales information into Salesforce Perform other duties as directed by a manage

The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Froster / Baker ensures that cakes of the highest quality are consistently created for our guests and contributes to superior service by meeting production demands. Following strict proprietary recipes, NbC production methods, and food safety standards, the Baker performs the repeated baking process for our delicious cakes offered in a variety of flavors and sizes. TheFroster / Baker embodies NbC core values and demonstrates a strong commitment to excellence and efficiency in the workplace. Accountabilities/Duties: * Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieves productivity goals. Follows NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieves productivity goals. * Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake and frost cakes. * Accurately prepares raw ingredients and equipment for baking, places cake pans into a hot oven and monitors the baking process. * Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked and frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains frosting and baking and refrigeration logs. * Assists Bakery Manager in the development of cake production plan monitors inventory of baking supplies and notifies management when supply replenishment is required. * Evaluates raw ingredients and baked cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues. * Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene. * Ensures an adequate supply of frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case and maintains appropriate frosting and frosted cake par levels. Prioritizes cake pre-orders according to schedule and frosts cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly. * Monitors inventory of frosting supplies and notifies management when replenishment is required. * Evaluates baked and frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues. * Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks workstation, ensures frosting and baking supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift, and washes any equipment in the absence of the Dishwasher/Utility Employee. * Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.
